Re: Chinese food - 7 years ago

@OCyou2 That's not a violation. Xiaolongbao is not the name of the restaurant and refers to a type of Chinese dumpling (Soup Dumplings).

Re: Chinese food - 7 years ago

@KV The Market Force shop for that chain is pretty easy. They just recently simplified the report even more. Coyle also does a nationwide American Chinese/Asian Fusion restaurant. Unfortunately there aren't too many nationwide or regional chains that offer American Chinese, which MSC's tend to shop for. Small/local restaurants tend to not be MS'd. Your best bet is to just sign up for more MSC bec

Re: trendsource - 7 years ago

The schedulers are really helpful and responsive. As everyone said, the starting pay is really low. One of their smartphone shops starts at a low of $6.00. But they do tend to bonus (or PAD, that's what they call it) a lot, especially if you area doesn't have a lot of shoppers. I just did that smartphone shop with a $30 bonus. 15 minute shop for $36 and no narrative report was great.

Re: Chinese food - 7 years ago

@wwin Give it a try! It's pretty close in taste to what you get in Taiwan. After they got a Michelin star, they renovated their stores to be more upscale including the original store.

Re: Need help, Scheduler will not respond - 7 years ago

I've had good experiences with Kate. I did some shops with Mercantile and Coyle (which Kate also schedules for) and she was really responsive and helpful.

Re: KSS International - 7 years ago

Yes, KSS is a reputable scheduling company. Pete and Lori from KSS are really great. They always are really responsive and respond to emails almost instantaneously. I really appreciated it when they took the extra time to push Measure Customer Perspectives to send out payments.

Re: Chinese food - 7 years ago

If you're referring to American Chinese food, check out Market Force for the really large chain store or Mercantile also does a smaller nationwide chain. If you want authentic Chinese food shops, check HS Brands (A high-end fine dining restaurant that serves authentic Chinese/Cantonese food) or Coyle (They do a shop for a really famous small chain restaurant from Taiwan that specializes in dumpli

Re: Westfield has sold ALL their malls, does this effect MS'ing? - 7 years ago

I still see the Westfield mystery shops all the time. Just got an email scheduling for shops next month. The newly renovated Westfields in California are all really nice and if anything, they increased the amount of dining and retail shops (and increased MS opportunities). San Diego's Westfield UTC just finished their first phase of renovations/expansion and there has been a significant increase

Re: Fast Food shops - 7 years ago

iSecretShop has plenty of fast food shops for more regional or small chains (at least in the SF Bay Area). Plenty of them on Market Force and I'm sick of getting desperate emails from the Intelli-shop schedulers (although the whale snowman email today was kind of interesting lol)

Peet's Coffee Shops - 7 years ago

Has anyone seen Peet's Coffee timing shops in their area? Excluding the ones that are at the airports/grocery stores/franchised partners that make you ask a question about the promotional drink. I haven't seen the timing shops at the Peet's stores owned by corporate in a while in the SF Bay Area. It's switched a couple of MSC's before and am curious if anyone has seen them this year yet.

Re: How do you guys keep track? - 7 years ago

I use Google Sheets to keep track of shops.

Re: Second to None Compliance Shops - 7 years ago

@Luna126 They disappeared in my area too for a couple of days. I just checked and they reappeared (although a lot less shops). I ended up taking some shops with the other MSC (which has hundreds of shops in my area). Exact same guidelines and report as STN. I'm pretty sure STN is about to lose the contract with the e-cig company. It looks like the other MSC will probably eventually take over the

Re: Coyle Report Tips - 7 years ago

Thanks for the help everyone! The shop went well and I got a 90 on the report (Apparently they wanted a lot more detail about the food I ate...The sample narrative barely had any details about the food).

Re: $500 in One Day - 7 years ago

The most I've ever done was $660 in a day last summer ($650 after deducting my BART ticket). Did 20 e-cigarette compliance shops, each for $33. Super easy shops and take about 1-2 minutes max per shop and the report takes 2 minutes max to complete. All the smoke shops were pretty close together and walkable. Finished all 20 shops and reports in 4 hours. Unfortunately the e-cig company switched to

SeeLevel Payment - 7 years ago

Did anyone who did the online food ordering shops in December for SeeLevel receive payment yet? It says "Payment Pending" in my shopper log but nothing has appeared in my PayPal. I received payment for all my other shops for them.

Re: Second to None Compliance Shops - 7 years ago

@Luna126 Not sure if this has happened in your area. STN recently cut the pay on the shops in the SF bay area for the compliance jobs from $22 to $15 (except stores in sketchy areas). They recently added a bunch of my shops again (similar amount when they first started the program). I also noticed that another MSC is also doing a compliance shop for the same client as STN. They recently posted a

Coyle Report Tips - 7 years ago

Hi everyone. I'll be performing my first shop for Coyle this week at a major airline's airport lounge. I'm a little a bit stressed out about the report after reading the posts here on the forum. I took a look at the sample narrative/report attached to the shop and it's not very detailed (a simple narrative similar to what CSE, Albatross, Mercantile expects-- nothing too detailed). I'm not sure i

Re: What are your thoughts about compliance shops? - 7 years ago

@tlin Confero does some compliance shops with 17 years old for a large theater chain. The starting pay ($12.00) is low but it's usually bonused quite a bit. I've seen them offer bonuses as high as $75.
by azncollege - Mystery Shopping Discussion

Re: Second to None Compliance Shops - 7 years ago

I don't think they bonus them anymore. All the shops that weren't assigned in December in the SF Bay Area were all rolled over to January at the same pay. It's still a decent pay since the shops and reports take only a few minutes to complete.

Re: Second to None Compliance Shops - 7 years ago

Same thing in the San Francisco/Bay Area. Started off with a $18 shopper fee in the summer and at sometime it was increased to $23 and then $28, with a handful as high as $38-43 in sketchier areas. They used to have a lot more shops (hundreds in the SF Bay Area) but now they only a post a couple of shops (around 10-20) each month for $22. It's probably because the e-cig company is facing a bunch

Re: Restoration Hardware - 7 years ago

It's a small MSC (at least they don't have a lot of shops in CA). They use the Sassie platform so you can search on Jobslinger. It's a non purchase shop though. No reimbursements.

Re: Red Quanta - 7 years ago

Is the FOPA project still up? They went back up for a couple of days but then all disappeared a couple of days later. @howardb wrote: We were paused for a few days as we awaited funding, but the FOPA project is now live once again on Presto! As many shoppers know, we pay out within a few days via this platform. Here is the link:
