Re: Customer Service Experts - 6 years ago

If I can route enough airport shops for a few MSCs, I'll purchase a Southwest ticket. Southwest has probably the best policy for refunds. You can refund up to 10 minutes before the flight departs. @iShop123 wrote: @BirdyC wrote: All I see these days are their airport shops, which I can't do because I'm not badged, If you're close enough to the airport to shop, you can buy a refundable ticket

Re: Customer Service Experts - 6 years ago

@Jenny Cassada The escorts aren't too bad. For the most part, they stand a distance away from you (i.e. They'll stand outside the store/restaurant while you do the shop). They just need to be able to see you.

Re: Customer Service Experts - 6 years ago

@BirdyC They offer badges at SFO and LAX if you sign up to do their route shops. For a couple of the other airports (MIA and JFK), they offer an escort to get you past security for the route shops.

Re: Seelevel Oddness - Out of business? - 6 years ago

Yeah, they're definitely not out of business. They're constantly picking up new clients in my area. They've started scheduling for some of MartizCX's bank shops.

Re: Jack in the box - 6 years ago

@Gooseman It's a pretty easy job and the report is short. If it's bonused to $18-23 and it's on the way for a mystery shop route I'm doing, then it's worth my time. The food's not great so I usually just take a tiny bite of the burger, eat one fry, and toss the rest into the compost bin. I don't get it when people take it for $7... There's a shopper in my area that takes the location closest t

I wouldn't touch them until they bonus it to at least $40 for the location half a mile from me. $50-$60 for any ones further out.

Re: Have you ever had a MSC change the start date after you accepted a job? - 6 years ago

I'm so done with Trendsource. I called a few days ago and was informed I couldn't do it on 12/29 due to a last-minute client request/requirement. I got it rescheduled it to 1/3 instead. I just got an email tonight from the scheduler with terrible grammar and spelling begging me to change it back to 12/29.

Re: Ath Power Bank Shop - 6 years ago

I find their account openings and referral shops for their major bank client to be easy, and they pay pretty well, especially when they're bonused toward the end of the round.

MaritzCX is still doing them in my area. Not sure if a new MSC picked up the ones that Service Check used to do when they were still in business.

Re: Wells Fargo "did not open" shops - 6 years ago

It's pretty easy. Wait until it's bonused. They usually sit on the board and will get bonused quite a bit. I would just avoid doing the shop at the location where you actually opened the account at. It can get awkward if they call over the banker that helped you open the account and they remember you.

Re: Have you noticed money getting dirtier these days? - 6 years ago

@shoptastic Dave Ramsey's credit card advice makes sense for his general target population: People who are in serious debt and lack self-control with spending. If you're in debt, you shouldn't be using a credit card at all. I definitely don't agree with his counterpoints about not using a credit card for personal expenses if you aren't in debt and set a strict spending budget/track every e
