I signed up via Presto for a $50 Shell shop but didn’t realize I’d need to get the LOA BEFORE accepting the shop. Once I got into the report, I couldn’t access the LOA unless I checked in at the location which is 50 miles from home.
If you need a paper copy in the future, you can print it from a laptop or desktop without having checked in at the location.

I agree with the advice given by @shopperbob - create a plan. Can you afford to lose the investment when March pay time comes or is it going to put you out of business, assuming the worst? I can tell by your posts that this was an upsetting ordeal for you - do you want to take the chance tha

Fingers crossed!

No - I sent an email but have not received a response. I will update when payment is received.

Anyone receive their payment that was due December 30th? I have emailed Elaine with no response. I have emailed shopper support and payments four times over the last few days with no response from them, either. On my job log, my payment shows as pending.
Same here - hoping they’re just backed up from the holidays.
If you want resolution to your email, I would suggest emailing Daniel Price (dprice@customerimpactinfo.com) as he is very responsive and cleared up an issue for me once.

Looks like the big MSC that keeps swiping clients from another MSC (that used to be big) is in the process of grabbing another contract. I saw pins for a large mattress company chain pop up today. Anyone else seeing this in their area?

The email that I received lists the same shops that were originally posted in August with start dates of 9/1.
I haven’t done a Shell since last year. Locations that I audited for $75 and up are getting scooped up now for less than $30. Love or hate it, the “new” MSC is genius - they put out a few emails about the shops being “highly coveted” and they actually advertise who they shop to attract new shoppers (while the other MSC’s stick to NDA’s). This bunch has folks working for fees that were popular bac

Companies can replace a 1099 by re-filing with the IRS and sending a new 1099 with the "Corrected" box at the top checked for up to 3 ye

I guess the last few entries prove that anything can be taken to the extreme - especially when taxes are involved. If I were to work in a town one hour southwest of where I currently live (same state), I would be required to pay a 1% local city tax in addition to state and federal taxes (I know because I worked there when I was in college). I did some shops in that town last year and I do not pla

You have some great ideas. However, before you start doing mystery shops in multiple states make sure you do your tax homework.
Some states have reciprocal agreements, where you only pay state taxes where you live, not the state where you perform the work. Others don't, so you would have to fill out a state return in each and pay any taxes due. Depending on how many jobs you do
I just saw 5G shops listed in Presto as InstaShops - the ones in my area are pickup shops as opposed to dine in shops. The current 5G MSC doesn’t use Presto. I’m beginning to wonder if the current MSC will have any clients left before long…this is the 3rd client in less than a year that someone else has shopped simultaneously. Maybe this is just a different type of evaluation for the client (?).
