Re: BzzAgent project question - 3 days ago

I work with Bzz (and others). The requirements vary but a lot of projects you just submit your write-up to them with the standard "I got this product in exchange for review" wording they provide and they post it through their channels with source notations. Oh, and I don't love everything. I still get products. Those who only want glowing feedback or want you to conceal that it was free or

Re: Pet Supplies Plus new round guidelines changes and lower fees??? - 3 days ago

Ouch, Bob, terrible when that happens. I did the one closest to me and near other activities I had for the same day..I figured that if I messed up a picture I could go back. I had an opportunity to do another the next week and passed because I decided it needed a bonus or no thanks.

Re: Pet Supplies Plus new round guidelines changes and lower fees??? - 3 days ago

I did one and it made me appreciate Go Spot Check so much! Having to match the many photos to the correct questions on the report when everything looks SO similar is annoying. Oh, and I wouldn't have bothered if I didn't need pet supplies. The reimbursement was useful for me.

Re: PF Chang's - 3 days ago

I did one recently for a different MSC. I think perhaps they are shopping around. The experience was truly awful. But, I did see ways to stay under budget, it absolutely is possible. You just may be still hungry when you depart. On the back of the menu are some dinner specials that include appetizers. And tea is a lot cheaper than cocktails.

Re: pocket shop - 5 days ago

I think that's for their record keeping to categorize a subset, means nothing to an IC completing the job.And yes, the same term is used on tasks for other clients which further supports that it's their term, not the client's. I have seen another use "PROMO" on shops for a contract they were trying to land.

Re: Totes display work - 6 days ago

Hang tags they send are also generally easy. I did a few liquor store visits and only encountered one associate who should not be interacting with customers. I very much wished I was evaluating customer service that day.

Re: EPMS (asking for a SPECIFIC PERSON question. - 6 days ago

I love the Astrid angle! Partly because I hate asking whom I am speaking with. It makes me feel like I'm either 80 or about to go Karen on someone. And @honnybrown, a target not being someone who answers the phone is messed up! They could at least tell you that you need to ask for the maintenance department and (hopefully) get transferred to your target. So if you need a cover story to expl

Which msc is this? I know a couple shoppers willing to work together and split $ if the pay is good but I haven't seen any offers like this.

Re: PMs/DMs - 8 days ago

I admin a group so yes, lots and lots of strange messages. Some make it obvious they are looking for someone to scam while others want to waste time with back and forth small talk before stating their actual purpose for contact. It can be exhausting. I've noticed that few have the communication skills required to be respectful of another person's time.

Re: Jets Pizza - 9 days ago

Oh, and their editors are not native English speakers so that's fun. I found out when they sent one back with "missing" details. I'm like.... Well, it was all in there, someone deleted a bunch of details while editing. And for one question, they rephrased it to mean exactly the opposite of what I had said. I re-edited and let them know what I had noticed, this information was wel received. But, I

Re: Jets Pizza - 9 days ago

Both pictures are of the entire pizza. The questions on the preview are not an exact match to the report which is why I mentioned the ceiling. It occurs to me that I have seen two MSCs for this account and I have only done these for one (the one standing guard by the gate). If yours is for the other, maybe the form varies a little? But, there were questions that populated as I answered and I reca

Re: Jets Pizza - 9 days ago

You want a side view out of the box so they can see crust height and color. I find it easiest to set at the edge of a counter to get this. Some of the shops require a side, the instructions are written to cover either type. You are only supposed to order what you are assigned. Oh, and if you are picking up, look at EVERYTHING including the ceiling because they're going to ask if the air ven

Re: My son.. uggg - 9 days ago

You can share my situation if it might help. I can't claim insta shops right now, either. I haven't been booted from programs nor MSCs. I submitted a trouble ticket, waiting on a response. I did dig around while I wait and noticed there was a typo in my SSN so it is possible that wasn't noticed previously but a recent check flagged me.. I have made the correction and know that I won't hear any

Re: Kroger Questions - 9 days ago

Typically, you can only get one self checkout and one full service at a particular store per round but that gets waived for stores that are hard to fill. And, when they added test shops,.those were treated as their own round.

Re: Totes display work - 11 days ago

BTDT. I got $50 to go fix a neglected store. They had the back stock buried behind other things but I went in the morning. That part is a key detail, you want the department manager to be present so you don't have to hunt and they can rearrange stuff for access. They also knew where the signs were that needed swapped out. An employee had put merchandise out so most of the time was taking paper wa

I am happy to have steak and eggs for breakfast on special occasions. There is no wrong time for steak

Re: Do you Mystery Shop at a place that you normally shop? - 12 days ago

The line blurs for me with marketing. I had this disagreement with my spouse who didn't think I should conduct marketing activities at stores that I secret shop. I'm like... It's $50 to fix a messy foam shoe display at a store I rarely visit! Yeah, I am going. If they ask me whether I mystery shop there, I will be surprised enough that I won't have to fake my surprised face. Then I will ask them

Re: Kroger Questions - 13 days ago

They cap you at 15 visits per calendar year per store. I've never hit that and claim without worrying about it but it is possible if you strongly prefer one store in particular. But, if you can claim it, you are eligible. They prevent you from claiming shops you shouldn't.

Re: Any experience with shifting to PayPal direct deposit payment from MSC after previously being paid to Paypal (non-Direct Deposit)? - 14 days ago

I haven't done it but I am curious why this would be preferable over choosing an actual bank for your direct deposits? I set up a secondary checking account to avoid giving MSCs access to my primary account but I feel better about a bank's security than PayPal's.

Re: What places to avoid? - 14 days ago

Maybe read the posts? That's the purpose of the group, after all. Learn to use the search function so you can research a company before proceeding. Part of getting into this is just trying things and figuring out what you like/dislike and what you find an acceptable pay rate for the work.

Re: Grocery store shops $20 pay, $2 reimbursement question - 15 days ago

Is this the smart msc and you are to walk around answering survey questions about what you see? I did a bunch of those last summer but not until they got bonused. I did the first at $20 and vowed never again. But they offered enough bonus that I went ahead and did more. 45 minutes was attainable but not in a larger store and certainly not until you knew what to look for. The survey was written so
