Re: Love's Travel Stops & Country Stores - 9 days ago

If I do them, and I rarely do, it is when it gets to about $25 + reimbursement. Base pay is not enough for the required pics and commentary. I prefer the competitor shops if I can snag one - not as many requirements.

Re: New petroleum shops on Presto - 12 days ago

I grabbed one in my area before they all disappeared. It was pretty easy and straight forward and I enjoyed the free gas!

I think they used to just block out all the dates once they hit quota, so you couldn't eve

Re: What was your favorite shop project that is no longer? - 24 days ago

Garrett's Popcorn and Dunkin Donuts when I worked downtown Chicago. It was easy to pick up the Dunkin's, there was one on practically every corner.

It's a few specific pictures and/or screenshots from the app. Overall pretty easy.

Re: Advice for my resume - 4 weeks ago

I would also ask ChatGPT to provide a version that is skills based. A lot of AI processing in candidate systems has been tweaked to look at skills vs dates and length of time on a job, because it has resulted in unintentional bias against candidates (aka, ageism).

I can't believe people are doing these for $7. Only the ones in remote/rural areas or the ones in rough neighborhoods are unclaimed.

Re: Was I right to quit? - 7 weeks ago

Where is ShopperBob aka TerminatorBob? He's a huge advocate of "terminating" the relationship with the shopping company if it doesn't meet his standards. There are several companies I will either no longer work with or only work with for the right price. You are running your own business and will figure out which companies work best for you.

Re: Sometimes problems with GoSpotCheck - 8 weeks ago

I haven't had any issues with it but I usually don't do jobs that are longer than an hour. I have gone to rural areas with nothing but cornfields, wifi signal is non-existent and it still functioned ok, the jobs just didn't submit until I was in an area with a better signal. I would take pictures outside the app if you're having issues with it, the schedulers can upload those if necessary.

Re: The Implications of a Returned Shop - 2 months ago

I recently had a pizza shop returned to me. The app glitched and didn't give me an order confirmation, which in an ideal world, you get a screenshot, attach it to the report and move on. I uploaded a screen shot of the email confirmation and entered it in the comments about the app not displaying the confirmation. The directions state to attach the email if you don't get the app confirmation. T

Re: Public Donations? - 2 months ago

I lived and worked in Chicago so I became a bit numb to all the sob stories and scammers. The were always downtown begging for money like it was a full time job. When you see one of them go from begging on the corner into an Audi, well, I guess it is a job that can pay well in some circumstances. I would rather donate to an organization or charity. That being said - GFM has had a few stories

Re: Kohl's Assignment Not Showing Up in GoSpotCheck - 2 months ago

If this happens, I normally try to call during their business hours, but I have done some projects where it never showed up in GSC. If you've done the assignment before and know what pictures to take, you can take them as regular pics and email them to the scheduler to put them into GSC. It's too bad the app doesn't let you upload photos from your phone.

Re: Has the gas prices discouraged you? - 2 months ago

When gas goes up this high, I plan all my trips differently - personal or business. I try to do all errands, etc in one direction. If it is not a company I can ask for more, I will either skip it or wait till the fee goes up to account for the add'l gas cost.
