Re: Gas Station Inspection Pushback - 8 days ago

I rarely present any type of LOA any more. Only if they ask. Just a smile and a quick explanation that I will be taking pictures for their gas brand. Another vendor like they deal with every day.

Re: What is BK General Overview? - 10 days ago

Sounds like a qualification test. Somewhere there is likely a qualifications section or test center on the MSC site.

I have done them. It is a big travel day and highway travel centers can be a madhouse.

Re: The Implications of a Returned Shop - 16 days ago

In theory, returned shops should get a lower rating, and that would be the implication. Low enough rating might affect ability to get shops.

Re: Strait of Hormuz - 26 days ago

Just casually threatening car crimes -- attacks on civilian infrastructure. But really there is no such thing as war crimes or international law any more, if there ever was. Might makes right in the new world order. So I guess Iran now owns the Straits of Hormuz, Russia gets parts of Ukraine, Chine gets Taiwan, Israel gets parts of Lebanon, and we take Cuba.

@FreeBirb wrote: The red white and blue company is worth 58 billion so why can’t they pay shoppers decently especially since they aren’t paying mileage? They didn't get worth $58 billion by writing a bunch of checks.

Re: Disappointing Route - 4 weeks ago

That is awful. If they still had Marathon branding I would have tried to do them anyway. Had a recent experience traveled 50 miles for two shops worth $45. They were both rebranded, with closed location fees totalling $12. My first thought, like you, was to just abandon the shops. But then I figured I might as well save someone else from the same fate, and reported them closed. I often wish al

Another word for bonus. But also take morledzep's advice and make sure to request it if taking the shop.

Re: Total outrage!! - 4 weeks ago

I think the Kurds thought about it and declined. But this does feel like Iraq 2.0. They said back then the people would welcome us as liberators and it would be over in weeks. We still have troops there.

Re: RISING GAS PRICES - 5 weeks ago

I'm seeing $1 per gallon more compared to a week ago They are supposed to eventually release reserves that would replenish oil supplies for 90 days. But in the short term, with more tankers burning, it will likely go higher.

Re: War on the homeland? - 5 weeks ago

It's hard to trust what the FBI says after so many recent screwups, but it could be real. In either case I think they are overstating the dangers in an effort to whip up support for the war, which most Americans oppose, according to most recent polling.

Re: Figuring your hourly wage - 5 weeks ago

There are so many factors involved in figuring hourly wage. I can calculate it in ways that put me at $30 an hour or $15 an hour or $50 an hour. However you do it, if it works out for you in the end, then that is the right way to do it. It gives you a baseline for comparison. And as someone who does a lot of traveling, I am acutely aware of how expensive driving can be evrery time I replace my

Re: Sayonara ayatollah - 5 weeks ago

I thought we had already destroyed their nuclear capabilities in the previous attack. At least Trump said so. But seriously, Iran has never been very close to nuclear capability. Maybe years away, but never months or weeks. All the experts agree. In the current round, Iran had already agreed to give ALL of their enriched uranium to the United States. They agreed to never pursue a nuclear weapo

Maybe there is no way in the new app. You can still see incompllete shops in a web browser on your phone.

Re: Sayonara ayatollah - 6 weeks ago

We do business and are even allies with countries that are just as bad. This war makes no sense and will bankrupt us Iran agreed to all of our demands regarding nuclear weapons. The most logical explanation is somebody has videos of Trump with Epstein's kids. Edit: Now Rubio has explained we attacked because Israel's leader said they were going to attack with or without us, and with hundreds

Re: Cooldown period, how is it even helpful? - 7 weeks ago

Somebody was grabbing a highly bonused shop, and then letting it drop, and then grabbing it again after 24 hours, This happened like three times that I know of. I was going to be in the area on a certain date, and when they let it drop the third time I was ready and grabbed it. Gotcha! On the flip side, I scheduled some shops, but reached my assignment limit, I decided to drop one of the more

Re: A difficult situation photography and dark audits - 2 months ago

Sometimes the flash helps, but you have to hold the camera very still. You can also change the focus to the bright part, and hope it dims. Wiping the lens helps sometimes to minimize glare. But, yeah, the newer phones do a much better job. Doesn't even have to be that new.

Re: Then Vs. Now - 2 months ago

There was a time when to really do well you neded a home computer, home internet, a digital camera, and even a cell phone if you traveled a lot. Those things cost a lot, and not everyone had them. Those that did tended to be in higher income groups, and were less willing to work for low fees. Now, everyone has all those things in a smartphone. That is the biggest change I have seen since I starte

Re: Reimbursement - 2 months ago

Normally they tell you what to order, and will only reimburse for those items and nothing else. Because the cost of those items will vary from city to city, they state the cost in the most expensive city as the maximum reimbursement.. If they cost less in your city, you will get reimbursed that lesser amount, and not the maximum amount.
