Re: Google Local Guide - Yesterday

Bare, No real benefits. The best thing that happens to my son is he gets discounts and/or free stuff from some of the places when he shows them the pictures he has posted. But it works very well, especially when he shows them the millions of pictures he's posted (yes, I said millions), when folks question why he's taking pictures for mystery shopping. He has also been cautioned several tim

Re: Is IPSOS late on payments? - 3 days ago

Ipsos had a glitch at the beginning of the year. I got paid the last week of last year, then nothing for the first 3 weeks of this year, even though I had shops received, edited and approved for pay. I wrote polite letters, then less polite letters, and then I was told that received, edited and graded means nothing and they'll pay me when it's approved for payment. Then a few hours later I rece

Re: Shops that go sideways and stress you out - 4 days ago

Everything I did today went sideways.. 4 gas station audits, none that weren't completely frustrating. Then the tablet glitched and I had a meltdown while fighting with the website, and entered the same info into two different shops. I've had quite enough of today.

Re: Cashier refused to put my items in my own bag - 7 days ago

When I go shopping I have polyester bags, they are fully washable (kinda like parachute cloth). I take 3 bags in with me and I put two bags inside of the 3rd bag, it's easier to carry that way. ONE bagger at a local store. She said that someone accused her of stealing an unused bag out of bags like mine. My son asked if she saw the unused bag that was inside my bags, still folded up. But

Re: MFI daily emails - 7 days ago

Yep, when I started to randomly do shop for them again I would get an occasional email inviting me to take a drive in shop. But now it's daily or more often, and it's a little annoying. But it does remind me to check and see if there are any MAO jobs that they can decline my offer for.

BWW is shopped by at least 3 different MSCs, you're going to have to be more specific.

Re: What are you having for dinner? AGAIN! - 8 days ago

ok.. I'm doing salads it seems. Yesterday I had a Ceasar Salad kit (a markdown for $1.61), with 5 cherry tomatoes for one of those little tomato containers that was marked down (I've used it for 3 salads so far, and there is still more than half of the container remaining $1.50), and a leftover crispy fried chicken tender (Krispy Krunchy Chicken from a gas station). It was ok, but I really don'

Re: Called out for Photo Taking - Story for Why? - 9 days ago

My son is a Google local guide. He takes pictures everywhere he goes and posts them on google. It gives the businesses good advertising. And it gives him an excuse to take pictures when he's supposed to be covert. And when I'm doing gas audits if they make a fuss, I tell them, I gave you a chance to get out of the picture, but you chose to step in front of the camera anyway. I am standing

Was the forum not working yesterday? - 10 days ago

I went to mystery shopping discusion and it looked normal, about 10 new answers. And I read all but one. I went to the company discussion and there were 4 new answers.. so that's about normal. I didn't look at the dates, until I changed my mind about what I wanted to say. ALL of the dates of the responses say 04/06. And my lone post today is dated -4/08. I find it hard to believe that no o

Re: Gas Station Inspection Pushback - 11 days ago

I live in the deep south, the paranoia of the white women here is astounding. The only station I've ever been asked to leave, two blonde to the bone women at the counter. Said I could download the LOA "offline" anywhere, and they insisted that I show them a badge or my personal ID. And my ID wasn't good enough because my head was covered and they said I look different. I told them that the ow

Re: What are you having for dinner? AGAIN! - 12 days ago

I'm more than a little wary of plant based and lab grown "meat." I also don't eat food out of a box. And I read the labels on ALL of packaged and canned food that I don't put up myself. I have a serious sensitivity to soy. I was fooled again recently by a supplement that was soy based, and I couldn't return it after it made me swell up and made it hard to breathe for a couple days.

Re: Happy Easter (if you observe) - 13 days ago

I no longer go to church. And my faith is my own, and I don't share it. I do NOT celebrate "Christian" holidays because they do not accurately represent the actual days or even seasons that the actual events took place. I make nice for other folks' kids, and give gifts to the kids at Christmas. But I do not and will not participate in religious ceremonies.

Re: What do you name your cars? - 13 days ago

Names for my vehicles.. The BEAST is my moving truck, that used to be an entertainment industry lighting truck. But other than that, I don't think I've named a vehicle in 40 years..

Re: XOM Site Experience: Site Exp._Qtly Q22026 - Reimbursement Question - 13 days ago

No. If you don't make the purchases you won't get paid. And you can get as much gasoline as you want, you will be reimbursed for $2. Same goes with your purchase in the store, you can buy anything you want, but you'll only be reimbursed $1. I buy ONE gallon, no matter the price. And I buy the least expensive pack of Planters peanuts I can find. I buy Planters because they are usuall

Re: What are you having for dinner? AGAIN! - 14 days ago

What is FBL diet? Is it something I know about under another name? I have tried Keto in a couple different forms. And I've been Paleo for a number of years. I've pointed out the inconsistencies of the folks claiming to be on a Keto diet and restricting fat too (recipe for starvation). I've never tried plant based anything, except that I have relegated meat to a mostly flavor inducing rol

Re: What are you having for dinner? AGAIN! - 14 days ago

I haven't had anything interesting to eat since 4/1. We did a debit card shop at a BBQ place in GA. And it was pretty good, we each had a pulled pork sandwich, the BBQ sauce was good, a little sweet. The lady there offered some hot sauce (tasted a little like Frank's Red Hot), that fixed it. It was a very good sandwich with the hot sauce on it.

Re: Public Donations? - 14 days ago

I was born and raised in Los Angeles. I know a LOT of panhandlers. I love the drive to Las Vegas and back on I-15. If you stop, even to use a restroom someone will come out of the woodwork and ask for gas or money or both every time at every fast food place or gas station on the way.

Re: Has the gas prices discouraged you? - 14 days ago

I have been putting more effort into making sure I don't go out unless there is more than $100 to make. And leaving the house less often. I still need to go to another county to get my driver's license renewed, and I need a mailing address in GA because my mother is unreliable. And I have a real problem asking for her help because of Satan (my kid's nickname for my younger sister).

Re: WOWOWO, it's even worse than I could have imagined... - 17 days ago

The blob doesn't own Presto. The new app is really BAD. And contacting Presto about bugs and problems never seems to help, they just blame the problems on other folks and don't change a forking thing. My son and I deleted the app the second time it made getting the jobs done impossible and went to the website directly, on our mobile devices, and it works just fine. The issues I've always h

Re: Loan Inquiries Shops...Are They a Headache? - 17 days ago

They made a set of shops for folks with low credit scores, and I did it. Seven websites, and all of the offers that I received. I was surprised that I got any offers at all, but I did. I was sitting here late at night and filled out all of the forms, took about 2 - 3 hours.. and paid $150. That's slightly more than I used to make as a mechanic for the phone company, so I was ok with it. I nev

Re: MovieMEASURE Trailer Checks - 17 days ago

yes nelly, I'm rude.. I speak plainly and I say the truth. I'm sorry I couldn't find a way to tell them that they should read the guidelines and learn the rules themself in gentle terms. No one on this forum should be doing the prep work for this type of work for people that won't do it for themselves.

Re: What are you having for dinner? AGAIN! - 18 days ago

meringue cookies are generally crispy outside and they melt in your mouth. I'm fairly sure it would be impossible to make them chewy inside. There should be precious little to chew on at all, the inside is just air and egg whites. We had crispy fish tacos for dinner.. Gorton's makes crispy fish mini fillets that are seasoned to be in fish tacos. They were on sale a few weeks ago at Kroger an

Re: XOM Site Experience: Site Exp._Qtly Q22026 - 18 days ago

You're going to have to buy your own traffic safety vest. But the good news is you can find them for less than $10 each on Amazon. one MSC offered reimbursement for a traffic vest in a gas station shop that they were subcontracted to complete in February and March. So I got a new vest. Mine was worn out from 13 years of abuse.

Re: 2 questions about Presto - 20 days ago

SBP This is a Presto map problem, not an app problem. The pin is located 40 miles from the actual location, on the map. It's located in same place 40 miles away on the desktop version website too. Presto says it's because the MSC gave them the wrong information. But if you input the address on google maps, it takes you to the actual restaurant, not where the pin is 40 miles away in a diffe
