What do you think of jobs with $0 pay but high reimbursement?

I am doing my first job for a new mystery shopping company today (my 6th mystery shopping company overall) after registering with them in January, about 3 months ago. Before now, they either rejected every application or else had jobs that were too far away from me or otherwise I... Continue Reading

Website: https://scoutinsights.com.au/ I haven't done a shop for them yet, but I am doing my first one today. Wish me luck! I signed up with them 3 months ago but I was either rejected for jobs or else they weren't suitable. Finally, last week they approved my first one! Only to... Continue Reading

Service Integrity

Website: https://serviceintegrity.com.au/ I have only just started working for this company, though I signed up around 3 months ago, reason being because they kept rejecting me for jobs. I signed up for maybe 40 different shops but the approver never approved them, and the shop times came and went with... Continue Reading

Was I right to quit?

Hi. I started doing mystery shopping about 6 months ago because I couldn't do my normal job due to breaking my leg, which has never really healed. The first place I joined was okay, but their pay was only $17 to $19, their website to do the reviews kept messing up,... Continue Reading

Is this appropriate feedback from an evaluator?

I've been doing mystery shopping for about 6 months now. I've done 28 jobs with 5 different mystery shopping companies and about 20 different companies. They have varied quite a lot from really good customer service to really hopeless ones. Most of my work has been approved without amendments and... Continue Reading

BEWARE of Elite CX's latest project! They don't pay!

Elite CX has just posted jobs in Chicago where you scan a QR code and get event tickets reimbursed. Search the comments before you fall for their scam! They don't pay and actually had a lawsuit against them demanding payment. You're been warned!... Continue Reading

Five Guys - no more combo meals?

It looks like Five Guys is no longer offering the combo meal, at least in our area (Columbus, OH). The ones in the Toledo area never offered it, but their prices were a little lower to make up for it. However, the prices are still the same around here. $5.59... Continue Reading

Gatekeeping MS information from a friend

I need some advice on how to navigate this friendship. I have a friend who would be perfect for me to take along on some shops. I also feel like I have something to offer her when she has something to offer me. For example, I don't... Continue Reading

New to Mystery Shopping – Need Some Honest Advice

There is a list of legitimate mystery shopping companies here. It's in blue at the bottom of this page. A few Members took it upon themselves to update that list a couple of years ago. Even so, it will have changed some. It takes time to sign up, check job boards,... Continue Reading

Gas station shops - some observations 2010 vs 2026

I did quite a few gas station shops in 2009 and 2010. Most of the time I saw them posted for $10-$12 + $1-2 reimbursement (small item inside, receipt required). I never accepted those dollar amounts, but that's what they would post at in my area. I worked out routes... Continue Reading

Would you do this?

Posted thus morning: Hotel overnight with 5 separate “integrity” shops onsite (with time stamps, narratives, and multiple photos each). $6-700 in required cash/credit expenses (and crappy tip allowances) reimbursed several weeks later. Located in a major US city notorious for its high crime rate…for a total fee of…$40.... Continue Reading

Hotel/Airfare/Travel Shops

Hey everyone, I've been doing mystery shopping for a few months now, and I've just landed my first hotel gig with Coyle. Ultimately, I am more interested in doing a 2 hour report for a full luxurious dinner than I am spending 30 minutes for some crummy takeaway. So I'd love... Continue Reading

Nike $10 reimbursement

I saw a new shop for Nike. It has a $10 max reimbursement and no pay. This is a new low race to the bottom. With gas prices, it would cost $10 in gas just to get there. Why would anyone do this shop?... Continue Reading

The email title is: "Very Valuable Facial Spa Mystery Shop"

Full reimbursement but pay has decreased from $35 to $25 - but it's very valuable! The report is not simple, it has several parts. I've seen worse, I've seen much better. It's not a typical facial. It's a few passes over your face with some kind of wand, then an opportunity to get... Continue Reading
