they are the first company I joined. for me they have me assigned to x number of stores, so anything coming up in that store goes to me. they don't seem to have a lot of new things around here that pop up, it's pretty regular. they do have a major dollar store chain that blows our week up tremendously once a month so that presents some challenges as far as scheduling the work when they come up. I've never had a problem with pay, I use their phone app (wonderful, easy to use and so much better than their website). my only regret with them is I don't have more regular stores, yet.
I signed with them and never got any work. Got paid for training though. Just tossed my badge the other day.

Everyone has a photographic memory. Some just forget to load the film.
glassdoor.com says that merchandisers average about $10 /hr. Does that sound about right?

Seriously, nobody cares that you're offended.
From my limited experience, they pay between $9.50 - $12.50.

I intend to live forever. So far, so good.
Most I work for pay $15. One pays $11.

Me too! One pays $13.00 an hour as well smiling smiley
The SPAR employees are very helpful. Their website is a nuisance but I've been told that it is changing Monday and the part that bothers me the most will be gone.
I have been working for SPAR for about 2 months. I was not crazy about no training, but everyone there is very helpful This is my 1st try at merchandising. And from reading this, their pay is low. What companies pay 13-15? I've had a couple of jobs paying higher than the norm for SPAR, But most are flat rate and I try to get in do the job and on to the next So far my experience with them is really good.
I work doing pharmacy stores they train you and it is really easy after you get the hang of it.
Self employment tax is about 15.5%. it is the equivalent of social security, where the employer pays half and the employee pays half. When you're self employed you are both employer and employee so you pay both parts. it is not 23%.

Time to build a bigger bridge.
Hi I have been working for them for about 2 months. I am having fun, making money never going to get rich. I am leaning a lot , I have very patient managers. I have only good to say about them.
I worked for them for a short time and they seemed like a solid company. The manager I worked under didn't return calls, couldn't answer questions, and wasn't helpful. It just wasn't worth dealing with that manager so I moved on. My current employers are great but I keep time open for higher paying projects.

Well, I do know this much it's a differences between training and doing the job. You can read all that it requires to do the job, but getting the feel of actual doing the job, independently. what a great accomplishment. I really enjoy being my own boss. Not really being a slave to a job that I don't like, I'm in control. The flexible hours are perfect for any schedule. I haven't had any problems. SPAR is one company I would recommend.
Is Spar mainly resets though or is there a lot of continuity work and POP placement ? Resets are just too much these days, though I am still doing smaller ones.
