How do you search for shops?

So, I'm signed up as a shopper with 75+ companies. I really don't have the time to check all the job boards every day. Instead I check a couple of my "main" MSCs every day, and the rest I only see jobs that are emailed.

Is there a better way of doing this? Do you search all job boards every day?

I have several 'bookmark' folders in Firefox to which are assigned companies that need to be checked daily, weekly and from time to time. Every company I am registered with is bookmarked in one of the various folders. A folder or subfolder contains approximately 20-30 companies that can all be opened in tabs. This allows having all of those companies' login pages load while I get a cup of coffee and then since Firefox remembers my user id and password, I can just click them to open and quickly go from tab to tab to tab to check job boards.

Companies with whom I am not active are in subfolders of a folder in alphabetical order so I can find the specific company quickly should something come through email that sounds potentially interesting.

Checking all 200 to 300 companies I am registered with per day would be a huge waste of time. My daily bookmark folder has currently 23 companies who have work in my area this year that I am also willing to work for the company.
Great system, Flash!

I also have a zip code list of major towns and cities I visit regularly in my state - arranged by compass points. This helps me to quickly search a radius.
Missy - that is an excellent idea! Thanks for that tip, I never thought about setting up something with zip codes - and yet every month I find myself opening up a zip code map!

Proud To Be A Soldier's Mom
I keep a zipcode list for the various states I visit as well. Makes things much easier to check job boards other job board msc's when I'm going somewhere for a route.

NOTE: I am tying this to my info request (http://www.mysteryshopforum.com/read/2/157029), regarding Sassie and/or one-step applying-job searching.

Thanks.

in the past, i've simply prioritized my bookmark labels with numbers (followed by the individual name of each company) in order of preference within the appropriate 'mystery shopping' sub-folder.

for example:

01_aaacompany
02_bbbcompany
03_ccccompany
04_dddcompany

afterwards, i would periodically check the individual job boards in order of preference until i might find something. i wouldn't always make it to the bottom of the list, but i found it vital to rank each company in order of preference. i used to check about 10 to 20 of them before finding something.

Wow, that's what I do, too.

It also gives me a little bit of glee to move a poorly performing MSC on down to the basement of my list. A little "time out" for a MSC suits me, both mentally and financially.
