Chevron Image Audits

I have my first Chevron image audits this week and am reading over my book. Can anyone tell me whether the pump island photo should have only one pump, or if it supposed to include every pump on the island? Say the islands each have thee pumps, for example. Do I need to have the photo include all three, or just one?

Also, how much time do these tend to take?

Thanks

Hello, Bay.

My 2013 guide is in the car (its dark and cold and late). The 2012 guide shows the sample picture on Page 7. This is in the Standard Photos section which starts on page 6. The 2013 book probably has much the same arrangement. Take a look at their picture to see what they want.

In case you don't have the book available, here's what I do. I pick out one pump and take a photograph of that pump and the area around it including the trash/cleaning receptacle and pump guards if present. I back up just enough to get the curb and a slice of the area in front of the curb. This has always been accepted.

The first audits will be slow but you will, of course, pick up speed as you get more experience. If I have a string of these in the same city, I allow one hour per station after I reach the town. That hour includes the actual inspection, checking my pictures, writing up the report, turning it in to the manager, and getting to the next station. You will be slow because you are new at this, so I would allow extra time for the first set of stations.

Thanks, Mary. The picture shows just one pump, but the pump is the only one on the island, which is why I wasn't sure how to deal if there was more than one pump on the island. I will do it the way you said, since there appears to be no change in this part since last year. I'll probably take an extra of the entire island, just in case.

I had estimated the same times you listed. I'm glad to have it confirmed.
Bay, now I understand the question. Yes, I take a picture of just one pump and the surrounding area regardless of how many pumps may be mounted on that island.
