My 2013 guide is in the car (its dark and cold and late). The 2012 guide shows the sample picture on Page 7. This is in the Standard Photos section which starts on page 6. The 2013 book probably has much the same arrangement. Take a look at their picture to see what they want.
In case you don't have the book available, here's what I do. I pick out one pump and take a photograph of that pump and the area around it including the trash/cleaning receptacle and pump guards if present. I back up just enough to get the curb and a slice of the area in front of the curb. This has always been accepted.
The first audits will be slow but you will, of course, pick up speed as you get more experience. If I have a string of these in the same city, I allow one hour per station after I reach the town. That hour includes the actual inspection, checking my pictures, writing up the report, turning it in to the manager, and getting to the next station. You will be slow because you are new at this, so I would allow extra time for the first set of stations.
