Lowest paid shop

Alright guys lets have a little fun. What is the lowest paid shop you have taken and why? Please don't bash each other. Remember everyone does jobs for different reasons I will start.

$3 Phone shop for shoppers view. Took 5 minutes to read guidelines 5 minutes for the call and 10 minutes to enter report. So 20 minutes total for $3. That's $9 an hour rate and I did end up doing 3 of them. But I make more now and don't do those anymore. It was in my early shopping days.

Your turn

Shopping Western NY, Northeast and Central PA, and parts of Ohio and West Virginia. Have car will travel anywhere if the monies right.

Probably most of the car shops I have done in the past. They start at $17 or so, but they take and hour if you do a test drive and the reports take at least 30-45 minutes....then the back and forth with the "editors" when they edit out information and the ask you to "clarify". I like driving the cars though grinning smiley.

I've done a couple phone shops, both to car dealers. I think those were $5 but you have to make a service appointment and then later cancel the appointment so it is really 2 calls. The report takes about 15 minutes or so with quite a bit of narrative for a quick phone call.
Home builder web inquiries for $3, took about 10-12 minutes for each one. The report had five questions and you had to paste the email response. Pretty sure I took some really low paying jobs in 2009 that I would never touch now, but I can't remember exactly and was unemployed at the time. Some money was better than no money for a couple months.
I do a lot of the phone shops for $5-7. It does work out to be $8-9 an hour and I can do a few of them on my lunch break from work because the reports are easy.

The actual in person lowest paid shop I did was for a local pretzel shop. It only paid $3, but I got $15 worth of free pretzels reimbursed and the report took me less than ten minutes to do. Ummm....I like pretzels. smiling smiley
If you break it down to what ended up being the lowest pay after all the fuss and bother I would say it was a recent shop with Intellishop. It involved a car dealership which didn't give me the paperwork that the MS company wanted, despite FIVE visits in person and a multitude of phone calls. After it was finally over and I'd had my fill of snarky and some downright nasty emails and phone calls from Intellishop that $75 shop probably had me paying THEM.

Embarrassed to say that I've done dozens of $1.75-phone shops. I don't do them anymore though. The report was super quick, but it still worked out to be less per hour than I work for now.
A $5 phone shop. Was easy but I did not want to do another one. $5 doesn't do it for me no matter how easy.
Not intentionally but when I was a brand new shopper, I took an assignment at a fun women's shop, where you can get matching jewelry, scarves, etc.

The shop only paid for reimbursement. It paid $14. I could NOT find anything. So, I found a bracelet for $4 bucks in a bin.

So my job was 18 miles x 2 = 36 miles and I was paid $4 bucks! tongue sticking out smiley
Pretzel shops for $8 plus reimbursement... I once did the fun novelty shop for the $7 plus $5 reimbursement... $8 phone shops.

I did $2 shops for Field Agent. They ask for a series of pictures and answer questions. I did a few and then decided to let it to the people who are actually in those places.

Shopping Central PA now..
Probably one of the first restaurant shops I did. The fee did not cover the meal, I ended up about $10 out of pocket.

I love wings too, but won't take wing shops for any less than $50

I did a $4 DQ, this is because I wanted a smoothie and got the baby an ice cream. She is so funny she kept saying. Noni! Why can't I eat it yet!!! (I had to stop and take the pics) I just told her I was posting us to Face Book... it was fun and we were in the area... meh... sometimes it happens.

O.o o.O

Happily shopping New England and beyond!!!!!
The baby knew about Face Book?? Holy canolli!

Yes, and she has more apps on my phone than I do. I had to buy her a tablet. She would change my settings in my phone and when I got frustrated she would just grab it and change them back. One second!!!

She is amazing at 5 years old. Natural techie. She loves her tablet. I got her the Nabi tab to control her settings of course but she really can work it. When she wants something new I just go into "Mommy Mode" with her and we download it and put it on her "Nabi Mode" side.

It's wonderful.

You "had" to buy her a tablet? hahaha

Kathee, I'm not sure who is luckier, you or your granddaughter!

What if she says, "Noni! Did you check the restroom yet?" on one of your shops smiling smiley

The pretzel shops used to pay $8 plus reimbursement. Now they only pay $6 and require pictures to back up your claims of over/undercooked pretzels. So the payment is less, you must take and upload pictures and then haggle with the MS Company and then client about your pictures.............for $6. No thanks.
My daughter always says "Mom, you just give her everything she wants all the time, she is sooooo spoiled."

My reply:

"I DO NOT give that baby everything she wants! I give her everything I want to give her..."

I am very lucky and would not have it any other way.

She is also my dinner partner at the handful of guys shops. smiling smiley

I did a DQ for reimbursement plus a very low fee. I think it was less than 3 dollars. But the Canadian dollar was higher at that point and with that MSC the paypal fee is passed on to me. So, a paltry sum went into my paypal for that shop.

Now I'm annoyed that someone has taken the local DQ for the second month in a row for $8! I've done that location for $20 a few times.
I once did a $3 phone bank shop (I have no idea why!) other than to experience what is was likesmiling smiley

"one and done!" tongue sticking out smiley
$.50 pizza phone call shop for Cori. I did one shop and cancelled the rest. I had to order a pizza and then cancel it. Plus write a short report. I still have over 400 unread messages in my Cori box, most of them are about the pizza phone call shops.
I always take the wing shop for the $4 fee. Wings are tasty and the report is super easy. I can usually stay close to the $16 meal reimbursement if DH does not want a beer.
When I had to re-do a shop due to shopper error--working into the minus red.

Getting all crazy and overspending my budget while mystery shopping, like at the mall bath shops.

I feel ashamed, I sort of remember early on, taking a phone shop for $1.75. I can be such an idiot.
I did a printer ink shop once, I think it was $10 with no reimbursement but I was going to the store anyway because I needed printer ink. I ended up buying a new printer so I was $-100 on that shop grinning smiley.
