Not getting shop after being called for it

I'm getting frustrated. I keep getting called for shops with HUGE bonuses and then they don't get assigned. I'm really getting annoyed. I get promised a $50 shop then I see it on the board for $16 the next day and now it's gone. Does this happen to anyone else? I had told them I would do it today but no response for anyone.

Which MSC is this? And what do you mean by "promised?" Usually when I get offered a shop over the phone, the shop is placed in my shop log or I receive email confirmation within minutes of the call.
I'm confused also. To me promised means it's been accepted by the scheduler and placed in your log. We really can't comment without knowing who the MSC is.
The conversation usually goes, "I have this shop at (place) I need done by (date). I'm offering a bonus of (amount). Can you do it?"

If you say yes, (or negotiate a different bonus) the call should conclude with, "Okay, I agree to do the shop for a bonus of (amount) on (date). Please assign that to me." The scheduler should then say, "I'm assigning that to you now."

If the conversation went, "Let me think about it and get back to you," or, "If you're interested, go to the job board and apply for it," then you were not offered the job and things can change 5 minutes later when they call the next shopper.

So who was the MSC and what exactly was said?
A few things may have happened:

1. Another scheduler gave it to another shopper (because it was not locked in yet)

2. After talking with you, the scheduler decided you might not be the right one to do the shop and she stalled.

3. After talking with you about your bonus, she had to "get back to you about the bonus" and she was told NO.

4. Another shopper pulled it on-line, before it could be assigned to you.
That's weird. I had something similar happen. There was an easy assignment that paid well because it had to be done that weekend. I contacted the scheduler immediately and he said, "Thanks, but no thanks." because he already assigned it. Next email said something to the effect of emergency assignment plus bonus. The one he assigned dropped and once again he needed to fill it. I offered again, but by the time I had responded, he had it filled. Then days later, he blew up my phone and email trying to get me to take it, because that didn't end up working out either. I had an all day merchandising assignment, so we kept missing each other. Ultimately, I ended up not getting it because, by that time, I either couldn't work it into my schedule or I was frustrated that, if he had just given it to me in the first place, wouldn't have had all those problems.
I've gotten a few calls from MarketForce where they say "I have a shop at such time, on such date, for such money," and after I say "where is it?" and get the reply, they say "I'm so sorry, someone else just took it."

Shenanigans.
Sorry for the late response. I've been busy and couldn't get around to logging on. It was from Marketforce. I guess promise was the wrong word to use. I would told that I would be assigned and receive a confirmation email. She told me I was getting such a big bonus for the shop because it needed to be done soon and I had completed it before at the same price. It's really annoying that this is like the 3rd time lately. It's not the same scheduler either so I know that's not the issue. The fact that it was still on the job board is what makes me really wonder what happened. I figured that maybe it was just taking them a while to take it down. I've logged on and tried to take a shop and it said "This shop is no longer available to you" so I thought that was probably going to happen if anyone took it. We don't get shops paying so much around here that often.
The only thing I can think of it that you got ruled out by one of the screening questions. Seems unlikely though...
