I have not seen any shops for them, but a product they sell is shopped in certain areas of the country.

When I lived in PA, the gas station/convenience store combos were shopped, I think. It was either them or Wawa. I'm in a different area now, no 7-11s, so I have no idea. I worked at a 7-11 for two years and we had really strict codes to follow for coffee bar and the hot snacks section. It would not surprise me if they are shopped. I never saw a shopper report in my two years working there, though. We also had to report blown lighting within twelve hours and it was expected to be fixed in 48 hours.

I have shopped them about 3 years ago. Tobacco compliance shops.
Shopping Western NY, Northeast and Central PA, and parts of Ohio and West Virginia. Have car will travel anywhere if the monies right.
I remember shopping them about 7 years ago. Haven't seen one recently.

I've done gift card audits at 7-11. I've only ever seen them on the boards around the holidays.
There were some a few years ago. It was some type of compliance thing where you had to pay with cash and observe if the employee actually rang the item up and put the money in the register. I had to do the same location four days in a row, IIRC. Haven't seen them since.

I know of a company that does the gift card merchandising for the store.
The clerk at the 7-11 down the street asked me if I wanted cookies with my lottery ticket. I joked with her that it was a strange suggestion and she said she had to ask because, "There are mystery shoppers here all the time." I played dumb (not hard) and she kept saying, "They are here all the time, maybe every day."
I'm registered with just under 100 MSCs but haven't come across the one that offers these yet. It would be nice to get a reimbursed coffee once in a while. I'll just have to keep registering.
