Presto

Is anyone using that new presto page to find shops? What is your thoughts? I personally find it a little frustrating since I can't zoom out to a large area. Also the jobs seem like week old bread.

Just lost trying to find a fire pit in a concrete jungle wishing it was a wooded glen...

if it wasn't for bad luck, I would have no luck at all

Presto is a map-based location service for Sassie shops. I saw a link a day or two ago on a login page for a Sassie affiliated MSC. I just figured I had always just overlooked it, but maybe it is new. I checked it out and I think I am seeing more shops than I do on JobSlinger. However, it only lists due dates and not posted dates, so I'm not certain if they use the same data to aggregate. It can use your current location data, so this would be handy on the road with a phone or tablet to pick up a nearby job, if it is listed in Sassie.

Could I have a receipt please?
I found it on the internet -- is it also an app? It would be a lot more helpful as an app, but I couldn't find it for Android.

It looks like it could be a great tool for route shoppers but I haven't looked to see if what I'm seeing is outdated or not. Thanks for telling us about it, gypsy!

I didn't have any trouble zooming it out but it took awhile to load the little bubble pointers as I moved around my state.

Time to build a bigger bridge.
Looks like a very helpful tool for planing routes. seems to be pretty up to date.

Shopping Western NY, Northeast and Central PA, and parts of Ohio and West Virginia. Have car will travel anywhere if the monies right.
Jack from SASSIE here!

We're glad that so many shoppers have already checked out Presto at [prestomap.com] and we're definitely interested in any feedback or suggestions that would make it more useful to you.

To respond to some of the points in this thread:

1) WHAT IS IT?

Presto Map is a collection of all publicly posted SASSIE shops laid out on a map - it's mobile optimized but also works on desktop browsers as well

2) WHOSE SHOPS CAN I SEE?

Each SASSIE MSC has their own link (which you'll see at the top of their shop offer emails) but if you click on the "Presto Instashops" logo (or just go to [prestomap.com]) you'll see shops for every SASSIE MSC.

3) HOW UP TO DATE IS IT?

It's SUPER up-to-date! Every shop on the map is currently available - as soon as it gets assigned in SASSIE, it comes off the map within a minute or two.

4) CAN I ZOOM? CAN I SEARCH?

You can zoom out to a wider range (There's a slider with + and - controls OR you can pinch with two fingers on most devices) - if that's not working, please let us know.

By default the map will try to find your current area but you can always type in any address to look for shops anywhere in the world. TIP: It uses Google Maps, so it's pretty good at taking phrases like "Fenway Park" or "02111" or "downtown Los Angeles" and figuring out where you want to search.

5) WHY ISN'T PRESTO MAP AN APP?

Good question! We're working on it and hope to have it out this year.

That said, we figured many of you would want to try it out without having to download anything first (no one WANTS to download more apps, right?) - and we hope to get some useful feedback that we can incorporate into our apps.

6) What's a Presto "INSTA-SHOP"?

We're going to be launching a new kind of mystery shop in the next few months - we call it "Insta-Shop" because it's designed to be super-fast, super-convenient and super-mobile. When you're out doing mystery shopping (or just regular shopping!) you'll be able to pick up nearby Insta-shops.

Every step (account sign up, self assigning a shop, filling out the survey on your mobile device) can be done in a fraction of the time as a regular mystery shop and done completely on your mobile device or PC.

We even made the payment faster - you'll get paid in a matter or hours or days (NOT weeks or months).

You'll start seeing blue Insta-Shops on the map (right next to the orange SASSIE shops, so you can plan your routes) as soon as September (when we launch our sneak preview of Insta-Shops, called "1000 Cups of Coffee"winking smiley.

Until then, let us know what else would make Presto Map more useful to you (something that would make you bookmark it on your phone)!

Thanks,
Jack
I was sitting in the Starbucks I claimed and the presto system said I was not close enough to the location. I clicked the location problem button, but it did not indicate what to do next. I don't see any feedback or contact buttons to report these issues.
I had looked at this a couple of months ago and thought it was a decent thing, but hadn't really used it. Today I happened to check in, looked at one of the Presto options... and wound up having to dash up the street due to my lack of knowledge about the time limit. Thirty minutes to get to a place, but at least I knew they had wifi (I'm using a slightly older tablet and my phone had an unfortunate accident while I was climbing). Rushed up the street, ordered, used the open browser page to fill in the information, sat down...

The wifi wasn't working.

Back down the street, riding on a bumpy road with a drink in my hand, it flies out and I happen to ninja grip the bottom of the cup. I fly into my driveway and almost toss the bike in my rush to get inside, the tablet comes out in a gnarl of wires, and I get everything submitted with about a minute twenty to spare.

It does front load the survey overview with a note that they're limited to thirty minutes. Rookie mistake on my part.
ran out for a quick cup of coffee this morning like 10 minutes ago. thanks for the free cup of coffee and I make a buck. 30 minutes to get in my car drive down the street go thru drive thru and come back home to enter survey I did it with plenty time to spare. I just don't like the 3 minutes to accept shop deal.
