How is everyone's September so far?

Few shops and no bonuses. But, I only shop my local area since I have a full time job. There must be a bunch of new shoppers here since there are so few jobs available that I can see. Good thing August was a good month.

My month still sucks. I've done 14 shops this month, and one of those was a McD's. There's just nothing out in my neck of the woods. I'm wondering if there's newbies who are snatching all of them up. I hope not.
Mine has been really slow as well compared to my August. I did add on a lot more grocery shops this month than normal, so that's been nice.

I have been loading up on the Papa John's. They are going for $25 bonus a piece around here and no one else seems to want them. Plus the pizzas themselves are running as special for less than $10 invested (full reimbursed of course!). I just put some of them in the freezer for teenager for later (in freezer bags) and take some of them to work for the vultures to inhale. Then sit back a couple of weeks (just a couple of weeks since the MSC pays on the 15th of the month and this is the end of the month!) to collect my money! I have seven so far at the $25. LOL

Shopping across Indiana but mostly around Indianapolis.
Did two more shops on Saturday...a storage unit shop and a restaurant/café shop (this particular place I didn't know had cafes in my area)...both shops not too hard although the one you have to pay attention that you save each response....

It's been slow in North Texas for September. And, shop companies are releasing shops with a two-day window starting today. I'm not sure what these companies are doing, maybe holding good shops back until we accept the ones we really don't want?
Guanadu, that's common for end-of-month shops. Long windows don't do them any good if people wait until the last minute to cancel, or worse, flake. Tight windows give them time to find someone else and still get the shop submitted by the deadline.

Just got an email asking me to do a shop for $35, but that if I was hesitant to do it due to the distance (30 miles RT) to write back and let them know. I wasn't interested, so wrote back saying "Sorry, for this type of shop and the distance, I really couldn't do it for less than $75." I thought that would be the end of it. Nope. Got an email back saying "Okay, we can do that."

Well, crap. Guess I have to do it now.

September is about the same as July, which is the first month I came back to shopping. Then again, so was August until the last day or two, then got like $750 in bonus shops, so who knows.
Finally got my standard healthy foods grocery store shop for the weekend. However, one telephone shop was returned and I have a chance to redo it, which I will. I completed three. Two of them I completed in a similar manner, so I expect that one more will be returned. I am $60 from my goal with eight days left in the month. My September could have been better or worse I suppose.
It's been slower than August. Bonuses are fewer and back to a normal amount. I guess this is the comedown after a great August.

Happily shopping Rhode Island and nearby Massachusetts and Connecticut
OMG!!! I never get to stay home anymore! I can't just drive to my next shop. The phone rings three times on the way there with a scheduler needing something done right away! My calendar is getting very full for October too. I will be doing my first video shops FINALLY at cell phone stores. Got five of them for $50 each. Yeah! Beats the $10 ones all to heck and back.

In September I started doing gas station image evaluation shops not knowing if I would physically be able to walk those parking lots. Well, 30 shops later, I devised a method and am still doing them. I take a few pictures until my heart needs a break. Then I sit in my car and start debriefing using my mobile hot spot and iPad. After I rest, I get up and take the rest of my outside pictures. Then I sit and rest. Then I go in and take my inside pictures, return to my car and finish debriefing. By the time I leave the lot, the shop is completely done and my heart is at rest while I drive to the next one. I've done as many as 6 in one day. For someone they've been trying to bury for five years, I'm not doing too badly, huh??? My doctor says I ought to be dead but I'm too stubborn to lay down. I just tell him, "God gets to decide when I don't wake up. Not you!"

I also did 20 banks, 30 pizzas, 26 other restaurants, and over $200 of phone shops. Also did 4 casinos. Starting to decide they aren't worth the time. They require lots of driving time and narrative when I could be doing something else. But one of the casino gives me a free night in the hotel. I do the shop at the casino and then use the hotel room as home base for shopping in Mesa, Chandler, Gilbert and all points south for two days. Lol.

A and Labor Day weekend I went to Vegas and won $500 in a slot tournament. Actually came home from Vegas with $650.

So, September has been awesome and October looks like it is heading that way!

Today I Will Choose Joy!

"Finally, whatever things are good, true, noble, lovely, of good report...if there be any virtue, if there be any praise...think on these things." ....It's a command, not a suggestion!
I'm doing an ongoing special project for an MSC, not sure when I'll get paid for it. But right now, I'm $2.95 short of where I want to be. I will resist taking any dog shops to get theresmiling smiley
Mini-restaurant kick here...did a shop last weekend for a certain Italian Coffee that also has cafes in the area...screwed it up since I was supposed to get an itemized receipt which I did not get then I lose it....but they are seeing what they can do so all might not be lost.

Yesterday I did a repeat vegan restaurant shop (that I did a few months ago) that went ok...tomorrow my mom and I are doing a shop at one of a small chain of family restaurants in the area (first time for this company, first time I've seen these restaurants ever shopped), and Thursday I am doing a burger chain shop (not as big as the golden arches nor the chain famous for the way they do the made to order burgers).

Oh yea in between all this I did a shop today for a chain of sports fan gear stores....one of the easiest shops I've done in awhile.

My month has been busy more at the end of the month. I took a few days off to travel. but I am netting like a typical month. I hardly have time to breathe at the end of the month.
As far as bonuses I rarely get any on any month. There must be a large concentration of other shoppers here.

Wheww I have to remind myself to breathe. I have three reports to catch up on, so I am up at 3 am just woke up to pound them out on the keyboard.
