Double Assigned

Does this happen to anyone?

Because I work a full time job, I can only do shops on a handful of days out of the month. I try to apply for two/three restaurants on each of those days to get something assigned. I then get assigned for all the restaurants I applied for on a particular day from different MSCs all at once... and then I have to back out of several since I can only do one dining shop a day sad smiley However, when I just apply to one restaurant for a particular day, then I don't get assigned anything.

What is your strategy?

I apply for two at a time, either near each other or near other shops I have already.

If I get both, which is rare, I do both, one after the other. We'll eat just a bit at both, and box the rest up to go. When that happens, I try to order stuff that keeps/reheats well, as it may take us a day or two to finish it all up.

Plan the work. Work the plan.
That is possible, but it is hard to do when it is a dinner shop that requires bar... :/
The thing that tickles me is that I usually don't get any shops if I apply for one at a time. However, the moment I decide to request for two different jobs in one day, all of a sudden the scheduler gods work against me and give me both shops.
Linda,

I also work a full-time job and mystery shop mostly on weekends.

With experience, I have learned which companies/schedulers will assign the shops quickly and which might leave the application hanging. That makes it easier to rely on the former. If they delay longer than expected, I quickly follow up with an email.

If I apply to one of those companies that will let the application hang, I give them a time to act. For example, "I wish to complete this shop on October 6th. However, in order to better book my schedule this offer expires on Monday, September 29th at 6:00pm."

I hope that helps.

Happily shopping Rhode Island and nearby Massachusetts and Connecticut
I have had as many as three lunch shops all in the same area on the same day. All I can suggest is left overs, giving it to a homes person outside, dropping part in the trash. Just decide ahead what YOU really want to eat. I'm usually after the cash and maybe a bite or two to boost my blood sugar. I take an insulated bag with a freezer pack in the car with me on days when I'm doing food things. There are lots of hungry seniors in my apartment building and they love it when I'm heading out to shop. I even take orders. Lol

Today I Will Choose Joy!

"Finally, whatever things are good, true, noble, lovely, of good report...if there be any virtue, if there be any praise...think on these things." ....It's a command, not a suggestion!
