Did Lowes and Kmart change MSC

I have not seen them posted with the usual MSC since last year. Did they change companies or could there me some reason they just are showing up for me (ie an age limit which has been a problem with college bookstore shops even though I am in the age range it says I am not.) Kmart also disappeared around the same time....

KMart is going out of business and Lowes did change to another company who, by the way, still can't fill the spots because it's a rediculous amount of work for the money.

At least that's my opinion.

O.o o.O

Happily shopping New England and beyond!!!!!
Lowes is with the same backward technology MSC. I have done so few KMart shops that I don't remember who had them, but I am sure that the ones I did were not for the backward technology MSC.

The Lowes shops I do are really quite easy and fast. I had some bonus of up to $30 early in the summer. I drive past one and it is so easy that I do it without a bonus. Maybe it is a different MSC or different rules in New England?

I have not heard anything about kmart going out of business..although they are struggling..

The commissions for lowes used to get pretty good (about $20)....I am signed up with dozens of MSCs and none are showing Lowes shops in my area...
Our local K-Mart has gone out of business. I haven't done a shop for them in a couple of years. Lowes did move as the others said, pay is still low but I wait until they have really high bonuses and then I do them.
Sometimes the Lowes shops go so quickly when the associates actually acknowledge you when they see you. But if there's no one around or no one acknowledges you, it can take quite a long time. Also they want you to purchase something for $1 reimbursement only? I think I'm the only person who goes into lowes to buy a candy bar. I feel like such an idiot standing in the cashier line with my candy bar while the self checkout registers are open .
There are almost almost bottles of hand soap for $1, and yesterday I found a cannister of powdered scouring soap for $0.98. I tend to use full-service registers everywhere as part of my personal "keep them employed campaign", so this doesn't bother me at all.

I once picked up a $35 tool set that was on the clearance rack for $1.34. Best $.34 I ever spent. Now I always look for the clearance stuff first before buying the $.98 sharpie. I do like that I have enough sharpies for a lifetime of writing those damn shop ID's on everything for those bank shops.

Lowes has a number of products most of us can use. Cleaning supplies and toilet paper come to mind.

Happily shopping Rhode Island and nearby Massachusetts and Connecticut
Another suggestion with the Lowe's shop is to pick up either paint chips or a catalogue for some custom service and have it in hand as you check out. This would suggest that you had another reason to come in, but were not ready to purchase.

The harder I work, the luckier I get.
I buy the flooring samples. They are .50 each. They're free at Home Depot but Lowe's has a more varied selection. I make sets of coasters out of them and give them away. The polished cork flooring samples are nice because the bottom is unpolished, so it's just like a normal coaster, but the top is nicely polished. I also do the wooden ones too. Where else can I get small, thick pieces of handscraped chestnut for .50?

I have also mixed and matched them together and made trivets.

Plan the work. Work the plan.
When I did merchandising for a certain company, I had 6 Kmart stores.

One by one, they all closed down.
I buy a gift card. Usually put 5.00 on gift card. I save the cards to use when I need to purchase something larger.
Kmart and sears which are the same company have been going out of business for the last 20 years as far as lowes goes its with the msp that has the grannies.

Shopping Western NY, Northeast and Central PA, and parts of Ohio and West Virginia. Have car will travel anywhere if the monies right.
I don't think that Kmart of going out of business nationally but based those in my city I don't think they have much of a future. Dirty, disorganized, minimal staff and parking lots with fewer cars than the Westboro Baptist Church.
I buy granola bars or peanuts and throw them into the snack bowl at home. Then when I have to run out the door for a highly bonused shop that is due yesterday, I can just grab one to throw in my purse and be on my way. I don't pick these up unless they are bonused. In fact I don't do much of anything that isn't bonused. I call it working smart instead of working hard.

BTW, I meant due yesterday for the MSC, not for me. I get mine in on time. smiling smiley
