Direct Buy Club shops?

I tried a search and did not find anything. Has anyone done one of these, where you make an appointment and go in to hear the sales pitch?

Is it worth it, in terms of report length and detail?

I think directbuy is worse than timeshares.
No benefit to them at all. Their pricing can
be easily had anywhere if you negotiate.

Can you please elaborate?
run fast there I elaborated for him.

Shopping Western NY, Northeast and Central PA, and parts of Ohio and West Virginia. Have car will travel anywhere if the monies right.
IDK - I did one and it was really really sketchy. Some overseas call center would NOT stop calling me and when I answered I could barley understand them. Finally I figured out that they wanted me to do a DB shop. after they would call me like four or five times a day I finally agreed. I did the shop - they had some really weird online forum they told me to enter the shop on that was not in any type of account or anything. Then like a month later I get a call from some guy saying he's going to mail me a money order for payment and verifying the amount. Which was $5 less than what I had been told. That was mainly because every time they would call me they would tack $5 more dollars on to the fee to make sure I would not drop the shop - it seemed like that was a problem - anyway, I got the money order and everything checked out but the whole thing felt super shady and I honestly don't even remember the name of the shopping company. I also don't know where they got my info. The pay was pretty good though - like 50 or 60 bucks if I remember correctly.
This is high pressure sales at it's worst. If you don't buy in that visit, you are never allowed to become a member. Not that you should for $5,000.

The AG of New york fined them half a million last year. They have a full time lawyer sending letters to websites threatening to sue for defamation to keep the bad press to a minimum. Only the sites that fight back still have the reviews up. [www.ripoffreport.com]

The shop pay would have to be well over $100 to get me to go into that pressure cooker and write a detailed report about the 3 1/2 hour minimum time you spend getting worked over by a team of sharks.
I did one in 2008 when I lived in Florida. Unfortunately, I don't remember which MSC, but I do recall it paying $100.
I avoided narrative heavy reports back then because I was teaching and going to grad school full time, so the report couldn't have been too bad. I do recall the sales person being very pushy.
