Just because you received a second email saying that, wouldn't make me trust it any more. I would still call and speak directly with intellishop. They very well may want to see the email. Also what is the email address it came from. Does it match the EXACT format the other emails do from intellishop. Sometimes spam will adjust a single letter so maybe its 1 L and 2 i's...if it is fake, intellishop would likely want to know so they can issue a email to their shoppers saying DO NOT TAKE THIS SHOP.

I worked in auto financing for 2 years, yes it asks that you do the shop in cash, but I spoke with several dealers throughout this time as we discussed vehicle value. They did confirm that the vehicle does automatically depreciate the second it leaves the lot (I want to say 20%). The title work will have to be processed per state regulations immediately so the vehicle will no longer be considered new. I highly doubt a dealership would want and be ok with depreciating a vehicle immediately because that is lost inventory, unless they have plans for it like having it become a rental vehicle (plausible but still unlikely). Not to mention a week is enough time that the individual could have a lot happen to the vehicle to depreciate it (new or used). For every 5k miles the vehicle value drops signifigantly. And from my auto financing days, the vehicle automatically depreciates at month change (so yes people at midnight tonight your vehicle will depreciate further even if it is sitting safely in a well protected garage).

There is so much about this shop that screams red flags!

The individual who is saying it doesn't trash your credit for pulling your credit is being rather interesting. Your credit is impacted every single time you pull your credit, be it for a credit card, auto loan or what have you. You should pull your credit for financing purposes ONLY when you are genuinely considering the financing. If some people are ok with having their credit pulled for shops, fine, great, but personally for me I take it very seriously. It is easy to be tempted by that $500 check that will be coming or even some of those ITT tech financial aid shops that I have heard many people pull their credit and the fee is like $100. The large bonus' may be very tempting, however given the nature of credit these days and the lending habits that can change with lenders...I wouldn't lose points for a few hundred dollars. I have seen some of the underwriting process' for the large bank I worked for and those 10 points could change your rate (even if you have a high score) and that rate can cost a whole heck of a lot more than $500 depending on the purchase (a house or vehicle).

So this shop has a 100% red flag on it for more than one reason and anyone who is considering taking this shop should seriously consider the consequences that exist.

I got this email, also, I asked one question, if the email says no money out for us, then how do you pay cash and bring it home? Haven't had an answer to that yet....a little suspicious...
I had the same question as Ludlow123...what company is going to send you a check to cash for the payment of a car...how do they (if legit) know the shopper will not just keep all of the money? If I would even consider it, I would Google Intellishop (or like was suggested, go to an old email from Intellishop for a contact) and see if the person that sent the email was an employee...and either speak to them or possibly a manager...

I think we are all reacting to this like we did on the coffee shop program a month or two ago. And, being in NV, I shop thru companies that have PI licenses here in the state, so a "middleman" and not the companies directly.
