When is a route not a route?

I just got an email today for a route of 11 shops that pays $176. Okay, it got my attention. I like doing several of the same type shops because they go so fast when you do them one right after the other. By the second or third one, you really speed up because all of the required points are so fresh in your mind, right?

The nearest one is an hour away and the others about 15 - 20 minutes in either direction of the first. Okay, for 11 of them I could make the trip.

After reading the shop instructions, I see the first 5 are to be completed at various dates and times within the next couple of weeks and the last 5 to be completed on various dates and times in March.

Would you call this a "route"? I just call it scheduling a bunch of shops.

BTW, I'm gonna pass.

Contact the scheduler and explain the distance involved. Let them know that you would like the route but it's only feasible if you can do all the shops on one day and ask if there might be a day near the end of the month that would qualify. Make the contact via email so you have a record, as well as a record of the reply [especially if it's "Yes"]. The worst thing that can happen is they will say no.

Whoever decided to tout that as a route doesn't know the meaning the word.

Thanks, JB, but after seeing what the shops were I'm not all that interested any more. It's the donation drop off shop where they ship you the item to take in. The item is shipped with signature required, so not only do I have to sit home waiting for a shipment to arrive for each shop, but then perform the shop on a separate day - for $16. No thanks.
