McDs---must have known they would not be shopped

I was doing a job at a location that also had a McDs...and I needed to eat....It was about 7pm.....the guy only mumbled, took his time, the ketchup pump didn't work and the guy had disappeared into the back so I couldn't ask for packets...and no receipt....

maybe if they were more random about the shops...they wouldn't let their gaurd down at different times..

Interesting idea.... smiling smiley Maybe they DO realize their shop times in the evening are 5:15 to 6:15 p.m......
I wish they'd go to random times too...

My worst service I've had at Arches as a customer is... times when I don't think they'd traditionally be shopped. Go figure.

Reminds me of a post in another thread about McD's someone made where they said they saw an auditor on site, and the manager asked them to leave because they had a shopper coming during a certain timeframe.

And McD's is wondering why they are losing market share. 3AM and have to do a McD's shop. I don't think so.
If you really want to throw them off their game, walk in with a receipt. Not a MS used receipt.

Do the on-line survey and have the validation code printed at the top of the receipt and order a Sausage & Cheese Egg McMuffin and ask for the free one. When the employee needs to have the manager do an "override" on the cash register to make it happen, you will no longer be seen as the MS. The manager knows this is breaking every MS rule and will then see you as a cheapskate. The on-line survey that is customer facing takes less than three minutes to fill out on a smart phone to get the code.
One of the McDonald's I shop actually has the mystery shop times POSTED near the counter along with a cartoon of a "private eye" with a magnifying glass.
I would actually be happy to shop them at 3am. But I'm probably one of the few people who prefers working late into the night.
