Interesting shop guidelines

I guess some of the younger shoppers are getting creative
in "doing' the shops. Not sure about it being a felony and doubt any prosecutor
would actually waste time on it. Why anyone would post an online review of a shop
is beyond me. After reading all the guidelines I wouldnt want to apply for the shop
though. Too many threats by them.

**Clients use video surveillance to verify that the mystery shopper on location matches the ID provided with the report. Identification fraud, by using a fraudulent ID or by misrepresenting the age of an individual, is a felony and will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. In addition to criminal prosecution, (we) reserves the right to collect all current and future lost revenue that resulted due to the fraudulent activity, along with monetary and brand damages.

You must take a selfie and upload it to the report
The photo must clearly show your face (which must match the ID)
It must be taken AFTER you complete the shop
With your back to the store, take the photo. It should be very obvious you are at the store.
If you conduct more than one shop, all photos must be different (as you are taking them at each store you go to)
Uploading the same photo will result in your report not being accepted and you not being paid.

You may not post any online review (Yelp, Tripadvisor, Urban Spoon etc.) regarding this mystery shop. If a review is written, we cannot accept your shop report or pay you for the visit. Also, you will not be allowed to continue mystery shopping with us.

There are no stupid questions, but there are a lot of inquisitive idiots

Wow - that is the most detailed disclaimer yet!

I have seen the part about not posting on yelp before. Not the rest of that disclaimer though.

I wouldn't take those shops. I can't imagine taking a selfie in front of a store...and there's no way I am posting my photo in a report! And companies that require a government issued ID to be uploaded into the profile as well as a separate, different photo, well, I pass on those too. And the one (I don't remember who it was) wanted a scanned copy of my passport. Pass!

Only two people in the world (besides my schedulers/MS companies) actually know what I do. I'd like to keep it that way!

I have seen a lot of changes since I have started MS years ago. I have even made suggestions to MS companies that were frustrated by individuals scamming them. But I think some of the sign up/you can work for us if you do this/that is too much for a no fee/reimbursement or a flat fee or a $2 phone shop. If you are doing an age compliance shop, sure, no problem, you deserve to see proof of age.

Schedulers/editors - I would love to hear what has prompted such a strong disclaimer. What happened???
I don't see myself signing up with them. The reviews of bad payment in the past and low pay already turned me off to this company. I don't do selfies for anyone. I'm not on Facebook or any other "social media" site either.

This is for an $8 shop I take it?
Goodwin has actually improved their payment timeline recently. But I hear you, I accept shops from them cautiously and make sure there are no more than two shops waiting to be paid at one time.

I don't do social media either. Only two people know what I do. I want to keep it that way.

I don't do online reviews, comments, etc for businesses.
No way will I even consider doing it. Not for a second. I don't even do shops that ask for photos of the interior of the establishments or menu or machines, whatever. Well, with some exceptions.

That looks like a threat to me. It's a real turn off. They cannot pay me enough to even consider it. I am on FK because my relatives put me there but I never post my picture.

Restaurant shop. They require ID to prove you are below the restricted age of 45. And I've done 3 shops with Goodwin and been paid promptly on all three. Matter of fact Im still waiting for a payment from another large company dated 1/13 and Goodwin has paid me twice since then.
Geez, I didn't realize taking a picture of yourself is such a big deal...

To all – It's a dinner / bar integrity shop for a pub-grille chain. It's a typical customer service / cleanliness / food kind of shop + a some bar integrity aspects if you're seated at the bar top (observe 3 customer transactions).

The pay is decent, especially when stacking on a bonus.

Just take a selfie OUTSIDE of the establishment. Goodness.

Shopping the Greater Denver Area, Colorado Springs and in-between in Colorado. 33 year old male and willing to travel!
I have performed this shop for Goodwin whom I have done a lot of work for. They have always paid me on time per their payment schedule. You are not uploading your ID to the report. Just the self pic. the place is a bit higher priced but decent pay.

Shopping Western NY, Northeast and Central PA, and parts of Ohio and West Virginia. Have car will travel anywhere if the monies right.
I am too old for this shop but I see nothing different about these rules than what I see on many, many a shop. Most say not to post reviews anywhere or answer surveys. Many say they will videotape you. And since this is a bar integrity shop there are strict laws regarding ID fraud in the US. In my state they do arrest people who use fake ID's to buy liquor. It may not be a felony for the fake ID part to purchase liquor but if it is then expanded to be considered ID fraud, that is something not taken lightly these days. And while I do not usually need to post a picture of myself I have seen bar shops where you are required to post a picture of the peson who meets the age requirement if they are a certain age. I did one with my son and I remember the need to post a picture if the guest or shopper was at the higher end of the age requirement. Perhaps the difference is that these rules are together one after the other rather than sprinkled throughout the page of instructions.
I would think many shoppers who are a few years above the age requirement may try to squeeze through. I am always tempted when I see an age requirement that is just a few years off in either direction from my age. How many people decide...oh I am so close to that age and I would really like that job. I will take it and they will never know. (this is not what I actually do but what imagine some people do). ....But it is dangerous when you are risking going against the law as well as the rules.
