Is THIS an April Fool's joke?

This information is posted on the job board of one of the larger MSCs.

START DATE: Mon, Apr-20 00:00
DUE BY DATE: Fri, Apr-10 23:59 AND Thu, Apr-10 23:59

Besides having two different days listed with the same due date, how can the start date be AFTER the due by date?

It happens because the MSC does things half assed and doesn't finish a complete thought. If you did this, the editor would be all over you like white on rice!
I've seen this kind of screw up multiple times over the last couple of years. I doubt it has anything to do with a new "test drive" shop!
An error of this type makes me just pass over the shop. It just isn't worth the time to ask the scheduler what is the real date range.

Do you guys do the same?

Happily shopping Rhode Island and nearby Massachusetts and Connecticut
Yes, I tend to pass those right up, rather than having to deal with finding out the correct information. A lot of times, it is more trouble than it is worth.
I pass over those jobs also. Who wants to try and get in touch with a scheduler to figure out the real dates. I get confused enough when the dates are correct...
Bestofbothworlds ~ Schedulers/project managers/etc are human as well and I'm sure because they made that one mistake with inputting doesn't mean they were being halfar$$ing it. If you only saw how it was to input assignments and confusing it can be on different platforms.

I have seen that kind of typo happen in Sassie. In some areas (on the scheduler's view), it lists the due date BEFORE the start date and in other areas the due date is AFTER the start date. If someone is new to inputting assignments, this type of error can easily happen.

I personally have had a shopper KINDLY email me regarding this before and I contacted the project manager about the typo and it was quickly fixed.

Thanks for your explanation, SchedulerDeva. Just a FYI, this error was not for Mercantile Systems and I purposefully did not mention the name of the MSC.
I usually notify the scheduler when i see something like this, sometimes with a comment about my Wayback machine being broken. smiling smiley

Time to build a bigger bridge.
Think of how advantageous having a TARDIS would be for a shopper...

You could do a shop and, if it was turning out to be too much work, you could go back and remove yourself from the assignment.

Same with if the salesperson was not doing their job.

And it would be a tremendous asset for video shoppers, able to get those shops at two different locations at the same time.

And I'm sure we could come up with more...
