The BB audits are still very time consuming. Especially the Functionality section. I must confess my back and feet do not thank me for taking on these assignments. But my bank account is grateful. The app has gotten a lot better and more user friendly. Of course attention to detail is extremely important. I find that printing out the Guidelines and having them in a binder really helps. As you well know this can be a mind numbing experience and having the binder helps when the brain stops functioning for that moment.

Yes they are mind numbing which is why before I had to take time off I was beginning to wonder if worth it once you add drive time and gas in. And I was only doing 2 or 3 a week mind couldnt handle more. The functionality section was not just time consuming but much of the input and questions seemed redundant and repetitive. Is that any better? You still feel worth it? I am coming off a long recovery and have to weigh pros and cons and probably start slow.

@juspeachy, I was looking at doing these audits when they fist came out but decided against it. I do a lot of shops at BB for various MSC's and they are not always targeted at just BB departments but sometimes 3rd party vendors who are onsite there. My concern was/is in doing these audits is your cover is blown. You will never be able to do MS's again as they already know who you are. Never may be a little overboard, but! Although the money is good for these audits, I think I make more in the long run being able to shop 12 or more times through the year. Also, my reason for doing this type of work is not for the money, I believe I am doing more good overall by doing MS's. Just my opinion of course, and there is nothing wrong with doing audits. I do quality audits for stores I would normally not shop at so it all works out
If you feel they are no longer worth it, I would advise you to ask for a higher fee. This can make the project seem worthwhile again. Otherwise, you will not find them any different from September. You still must print out and make copies of the downstocking report, yet enter every number into the report for the MSC. Functionality takes a long time now, since you must audit every item on display in a department (ie. all the laptops), in some cases, dozens of items.
Thx for reply. I really did not mind auditing every item. At the time though the questions for entering each item were time consuming and redundant is it the same or have they streamlined the input in the app
One good thing, you do not have to type in the manufacturer. There is a list that you chose from, so you only have to type in the odd ones that do not appear in the list. That was a time saver. However, for Portable Audio, you have to check each speaker and headphone on display, not just certain brands as it was originally. Not all these displays have SKUs, so you need to check the display against product on the shelf to get a SKU when the display doesn't work.This is just one of five departments that are checked and it is time-consuming. Instead of checking the IDIL log afterward, you are expected to carry it around with you as you do these. Digital cameras is easy. Some stores only have eight. However, you can find 50 laptops on display. You are not just checking Laptops 1. You are supposed to check every laptop (or tablet, for the tablet section) on display throughout the store.
