Mystery shopping in Nevada.

I will be house sitting in Nevada for 2 weeks and was wondering if there is anyway to pick up shops while I am there. I know there are restrictions and you are working under a private investigator? I have always been confused about Nevada. Anyone have any insights or know if this is even possible?

Hey,

If you wish to shop in Nevada, you will have to be hired by an MSC. There is no work for a shopper in that state as an Independent Contractor.

You will have to register with the Private Investigator Board and get a card to be eligible to work. Depending on when you're going, you could get this card before your trip. It's $100 for 5 years. So if you can make $100 during those two weeks, you've got it covered!

You will need to find companies that shop in Nevada and go through the process with them. I know ACL does that, so does HS Brands.

Hope that helps!

If you are only going to be there 2 weeks I don't think it will benefit you as much because your Work Card is $125.00. This includes the fingerprinting and photo. You have to take a test and be issued a provisional card (3-6 weeks) before you can be issued a permanent work card. (full background check is done on you and if you pass that check, then you can work (mystery shop) as an employee under certain MSC's such as HS Brands). Unless you can get over there to more often, it might not be worth it to you for a 2 week visit.
