Pearson Vue Assignment

Has anyone had to do one of these shops before? I'm worried because I need to reschedule due to a work conflict I was informed of last minute. I haven't heard back from the scheduler, but I'm assuming they're going to give me a citation because it's "less than 24 business hours".

Are those the test centers assignments? Yep, they might not like that - it's pretty complex to set up the exam date for the MSC. I'm doing a test center shop soon, and the guidelines are very clear that if I reschedule, my account will be terminated by the MSC. I would try and give them a call to explain the situation
I guess I'm screwed then. This was my first shop for the company, but I'm dwindling down my shops anyway. I hate to seem unprofessional to them but the job that keeps the lights on is my first priority.

I tried to just reschedule with the company itself but they stated an additional fee to take the test. I guess this is just part of the learning curve in mystery shopping.
Do you have the email they originally sent you with the list or link to available dates? If so look at it and give multiple options from that list of times you can reschedule to. Things come up. They just do. Yes they state that the importance of the schedule because it is a pain to reschedule. But if you're open about what happened, apologetic, and tell them you're willing to work to make it right, I think a decent human being would give you another shot. If you can't do it on the original date then they still have a shop to do, so if you can get it done then at least they're not starting over looking for another shopper.

The scheduler/editors for these shops seems really nice. My experience with them is limited, but I have nothing but good things to say about them.
I've done one. I was scheduled to do one on a particular day. I emailed the scheduler regarding the full instructions since the day I signed up for was coming close. The scheduler got back to me and informed me that they needed to get an approval test date to do the shop. Well, of course, the actual test date was a different day and I had to stick it out since I worked the night shift at my regular gig. The actual test date was scheduled on a day that was not my day off. Luckily, the test location was within 15 minutes away from me.
Just to follow up, the shop was rescheduled and I was not penalized for it! I'm glad I didn't want a bad mark on my first shop.
I have the best fun doing those shops. I especially like the ones that require you to write an essay (which is later read and graded by grad students.) My last one was about the great cabbage rebellion on my home planet.
