Quick Chek-how to 'order' coffee

The directions say to 'order' the coffee last. But it looks like it is self serve. Are you supposed to ask them for a coffee/order it on the kiosk or just go ahead and serve yourself? I tried asking the MSC once a while ago, but didn't get a response. At that time their scenario that supposedly changed monthly hadn't changed in about a year and required olives which I can't stand...and the shop was not worth it if I couldn't get food I would eat...so I didn't push it at that time.

Is this a convenience store? Typically on my own dime, if I know it's self-serve, I fill up my coffee first to save time. But if you're unsure and the instructions say to order 'coffee last,' then I'd just do as you're told and tell the cashier you'd like to add coffee, then self-serve yourself after you pay.

The question is if you ORDER it or SELF SERVE it. The timing is not an issue, but how you go about actually getting it last. I believe that have some on a counter and others in the back brewing fresh. Do I just get a cup of what is on the counter? Or ask for one that is brewing?

You can get the coffee before you pay. The issue they want you to test the temperature. They don't want you getting it before your sandwich is made.
Sounds like you're answering your own question. Maybe just see how the cashier responds when you request a coffee. If the instructions do not state it, just go with the cashier's options. If the cashier offers both, just go with either one. I don't see how the MSC can penalize you and reject your shop if the instructions don't clearly detail which kind of coffee to order (self-serve vs. coffee behind the counter).

It is self service. I have done many of these shops. Just get the coffee right before you go to the register.
You are confusing handcrafted barista drinks with serve serve coffee. QC offers both. You can order espresso based drinks, frozen lattes, fruit smoothies, etc, made by a QuickChek team member on the touch screens, or service yourself any of their 12 coffee flavors.

its odd that the directions specifically say ORDER....but then indicate the regular self serve coffee..being that there are drinks you can actually order
I just did a QC shop the other day and it got denied because I was confused myself. You need to do BOTH. Some quickcheks have a special Qcafe where there's a screen to order coffee drinks from in addition to having a self-serve coffee area. If the QC you go to has the full-service Qcafe you HAVE to do both: 1. order one of the beverages of the month from the Qcafe screen and 2. pour a self-serve hot coffee (you pour that as the very last thing before you pay). You also need to order the specified food item as well (should be the pork carnita burrito or chicken burrito bowl. You CAN NOT order the park carnita bowl or the chicken burrito!!! It;s the pork burrito or the chicken bowl! They're very finicky on this shop if you make the slightest mistake it will be denied. I've been doing the competitive shops for this company for the store with the Goose logo for awhile but never did an actual QC store. I did the QC store and even after reading the guidelines and the questions I stil screwed up because I didn't realize that the Qcafe was considered a separate thing from the coffee, I think the naming is very confusing. My shop got denied for not ordering the Qcafe beverage even though I did everything else fine. I'm always completely subjective and unbiased when I perform my shops, ALWAYS. But being from this area (you must also be from Jersey) QC isn't the place I'd choose to go anyway when the goose is nearby.....we all know that.....I'm still dong the goose shops but even though I know the right way to do the QC store now I'm not sure I'll do one again
I miss the days when you could order ANY meat and cheese sandwich...It looks like all of the ones near me claim to have Qcafe....but none have any seating area (I do know if a couple far away that do)....
