Pretty sure I witnessed a drug deal & lottery scheme while shopping today. Safety suggestions?

Did you get all the required photos? Location overview, product, photo of salesperson?

Make sure you get a receipt and business card for that dealer shop too. And do a follow-up phone call afterward to verify the business hours.

Shopping across Indiana but mostly around Indianapolis.

That's an awful lot of "hemp"! At least 3 grand worth tongue sticking out smiley
I would report it. It's our job to ensure quality for customers, and seriously, good luck with a longer report and the call back from the MS company.
If you accept this shop only visit at 10 am in the morning. I do a few gas station shops situated in dangerous zip codes and at 10 am, they are nearly always safe.

Please call your local police or sheriff office and tip them off anonymously.

Seriously? You think the local police don't know where the drug dealers in their area operate??

This was the first actual drug deal I have witnessed while shopping, but not the first drug experience. More than once people that are high have approached me at a station. I don't let them intimidate me. I usually give them some food or a drink, a God bless, and keep on working. I was just thinking that a drug dealer isn't abiding by the law and that means he/she could have a weapon. The lottery scam just irritated me. (1) Because they looked irritated at me for being on your "turf" (2) I'm working and you want me to give you money to win a prize (3) You ask me for money and instead of giving you money I offer you a cold drink on a hot day. You say yes until you find out it's non-alcoholic. My parents taught me beggars can't be choosers.

In this same area the BLM shut down a major interstate recently in protest to the recent shootings.

I guess there are a few more stations I'm gonna have to not shop.
It's great to be able to come to the forum and run ideas up the flagpole and get perspective, great suggestions and maybe a laugh or two. But the bottom line is that we make the decision that is best for us. Especially when it comes to personal safety. No explanations necessary.
When they ask me for money I sneer at them slightly and say, "Nope. I don't give men money anymore." They have always walked away immediately, and never asked again. smiling smiley
Yes, I think in some cases the police may not yet know where drugs are being sold.

We determined a drug dealing brothel was next to a rental we had considered just by watching the movements around the house.

We tipped off the police and the police started watching the brothel and shut down the operation.

So no---the police don't always know where drugs are being sold.
It's up to everyone their tolerance for safety. From my standpoint, my folks (and myself as an adult) worked hard not to have to be in those areas where those situations are more likely. Least of all for the pay that MSCs are offering. I just tell them no when they call wanting me to go into those areas.
