Conducting two shops "same meal period"

Good evening all!

While reading through guidelines of Five Guys and Sonic, it stipulates that for Sonic
"Only do one SONIC shop per day during the same meal period, e.g., don't do 2 SONIC lunch shops on the same." and Five Guys,"SHOP ONLY DURING YOUR ASSIGNED MEAL TIME AS LISTED ON
YOUR CPI. SHOP TIMES VARY FROM SHOP TO SHOP. Do not
complete two shops within the same meal period on the same day" However it does not stipulate that a Sonic shop and Five Guys can't be completed within the same meal period.

The way I read the statements is that 2 Sonic can not be completed and 2 Five Guys can not be completed in the same meal period.

Insight most appreciated.

On the Potential Assignments page, at the very top, is a box listing some reminders entitled "Special Reminders (Very Important - please read!)"

The first one listed is "Two fast food shops may NOT be done during the same meal period."
Once again bad advice from Bubbabubba. Do two in the same meal period at your own risk--both risk of rejection of one of the shops and at the risk of being terminated as a shopper.
I once asked and the MSC told me not to do two FF restaurants in same meal period. Even if different clients.

This MSC is crystal clear in their guidance that two ff shops cannot be performed during the same meal period. This obviously applies to two ff shops conducted on their behalf as they really would have no way of knowing if you did one for them and a second for a different MSC.

This guidance does not prevent you from doing a ff breakfast shop, a ff lunch shop, a ff dinner shop, and perhaps even a late night dinner shop (although I would personally ask first about that one) all within the same day. I believe that doing two ff shops for them in the same meal period would invalidate one or both of them with this MSC...why take the chance?

The bigger question is why you would want to eat that much ff a day? LOL! Just kidding, eat whatever you like...

No, you cannot do 2 meal shops in any combination during the same meal period even though they are 2 different chains....there have been advisories on this.

it can't be a fast food and fast casual.

anyone familiar with 5 guys/sonic shops would know they are the same MSC

Bubbabubba, maybe you should hold off on giving bad advice until you know that facts. I don't do FF shops at all because I can't stand that type of food but I knew that both clients were with the same MSC. It does not take a genius to be observant.
Since no one seems to know for sure, why not go to the horse's mouth and ask the MSC directly. Do they mean you can't do two of the same client, any two of their FF clients or any two FF restaurant regardless of MSC? That way there will be no confusion or misunderstandings.

SAME MSC? OK ,
but if different MSC, its none of their business, literally!

I was referring to the same MSC and two of their clients.

I do know for sure as I went to the horse's mouth and asked them. The answer was no and that's what I posted in this thread.
Well that make it clear the answer is no.

Just a side note Sonic would be fast food but 5 Guys is actually considered fast casual.

Shopping Western NY, Northeast and Central PA, and parts of Ohio and West Virginia. Have car will travel anywhere if the monies right.
I just wanted to add, the MSC can only restrict you with their own shops/clients not shops from another mystery shopping company. So while this one allows just the one per meal period it doesn't stop you from scheduling a dozen for the same time frame through another MSC.

Equal rights for others does not mean fewer rights for you. It's not pie.

OMG! Who in their right mind would want to eat 12 FF meals within a short period of time? Ugh!
@Sybil2--->I am sure someone can find 12 people to give food to without trying to hard around the FF shops. All the Shopper has to do is TASTE the food not eat it.smiling smiley
For some FF you don't have to even taste the stuff. They are the ones I like to do. I also have never seen anyone to give the food to when I'm done taking pics.

The MSC that does Five Guys does not consider it FF, rather it is listed as Fast Casual.

I do not believe this is correct. Every time this MSC calls me to do a 5 Guys shop, they always stress that two food shops cannot be done during the same meal period. They verbally make me confirm that I understand this before assigning the shop. I will admit that I don't recall if they use the term ff or fc or just food, but this element is stressed with them on each and every call.

I personally would not do two food shops during the same meal period without an email from them clarifying that it was ok to do so...

FrugalCat, I just reread your posting and I may have jumped the gun slightly. You are absolutely correct in that this MSC calls Five Guys a fast casual. However, I believe that both FF and FC are lumped into the same category for the no two food shops during the same meal period.

I just wanted to clarify that point. No matter what they call it, the two food shops in the same meal period on the same day is a no-no.

Interesting posts. The experienced members clearly understand the MSC and properly responded. Several inexperienced members are debating the un-debateable.
