mVentix and full names

Hi all -

I'm fairly new to all this but have been enjoying doing it and reading your comments.

I wanted to ask about your experience with reports for mVentix. I've done a couple of blind shops for them. The report insists on first and LAST names.
They don't seem to have a quick way for newbies to present questions.

At my first assignment, the store does not require name tags so it was reasonable for me to ask. Had an awkward moment when requesting a last name also but got through it. However, I am sure they don't want you to cause suspicion about your being a "shopper" and at the second assignment there was no reasonable way to get it. That store does have name tags but the associates tell you they don't work on commission and to ask for anyone if you need to call for more information. To insist on a last name would be awkward indeed.

So, in the second report, it was XXX nolastnamegiven. I waited to hear something and did not but I wonder if they will reject the report on that basis.

I can understand a client wanting a full name and in any situation where business cards are used, I have no trouble asking for one.

I now have another two to do in another location where the same problem will arise. Any suggestions and any ways you with more experience use to get full names?

Thanks.

I've done about a dozen of these shops and have only gotten a last name once. When filling out the report, I write the first name and "no last name on name tag" for the last name. My reports have never been questioned.

I had exactly this problem with exactly this company. I sent them a note and was told that a first name with a really good description of the associate would be sufficient. smiling smiley

Your comments were reassuring and I'll make some careful notes on appearance and keep them on file. Annie
I feel better finding this. I just signed up with them and did the first shop yesterday. The directions made it sound like the last name was an absolute must have in order for the shop to be accepted. I tried all sorts of ways to get it without being too obvious, but could not get a last name.
