Never heard of them. What kind of shops do they offer?
Not like your normal mystery shopping companies Greg. They appear to give you a list of companies that offer free credit reports or schools etc and you apparently sign up for these and see how they respond. They have been very aggressive in trying to get me to take on some of their jobs. Maybe I'm being paranoid, but it does not feel kosher to me. I'd appreciate if anyone has experience with them or similar companies
They could be making money through affiliate marketing. Who knows, perhaps for each "shopper" who signs up for these services under the auspices of doing a mystery shop, they receive a commission. Sometimes affiliates make money for referrals to sites that don't charge users anything. Just gathering peoples' demographic information is lucrative in itself and some publishers will pay affiliates just for getting people to sign up. Eyeballs equal money.

Remember Michigan Bulb Company? They didn't make their money from selling flowers, but from amassing huge customer databases.

I'm not saying that's what this company does, because I've not looked at their privacy policy or IC agreement. I'm just saying it's possible and worth looking into.
If they are looking for you to do 'free offers', be aware that there have been a number of on-line 'shopping' companies folks have worked with and been very unhappy. One you needed to do 25 and then 25 more and then . . . before you got paid. There have others where folks got paid for the first few 'assignments' and then did a whole lot for which they never got paid. I have yet to hear about one that folks were happy with. Meanwhile since you now have an 'existing relationship' with these folks, the No Call List does not apply and protect you from sales calls at home. And of course if you forgot to cancel your free trial membership, it turns into charges on your credit card.
Good point Flash. You've detailed all the negatives and I can't see any positives. I think I will just say no
I certainly would not tell you how to run your business, but for myself I would just run.
DON'TDO IT!!

I know I'm a little late to the party here, but I did sign up with this company a few weeks ago and, like you, have been hounded to start completing their jobs ever since. I did a few, some for schools and some for insurance quotes, and within 2 hours I started receiving emails like crazy from all the companies I'd contacted. Then the phone calls started. (You are told to enter your real info or suffer the penalty of being kicked off their site.) It was really irritating!

This is obviously just a ploy to get people to put their info out there in the hopes that you'll become interested in one of the sites you're reviewing. Save your self the headache of unsubscribing from all the school and insurance co mailing lists and SKIP THIS ONE.

Yikes.
I signed up recently. I am pretty sure that I will not do any so called mystery shops for them. I have sent them 2 emails regarding their policy of not paying money owed under $30.00, that has not been paid for over 60 days. I read somewhere on their site, that you would not be paid until earnings amounts to at least $30.00. If I misunderstood loosing the money after 60 days, someone clear this up for me. Also I do not want to be hounded by phone calls and emails.
I signed up for this & took a look @ what is offered. I was concerned that the sites they directed me to required that I give serious personal information like my ss#, mother's maiden name (the banks etc. use this for id purposes) and I wondered if I shouldn't be concerned about this & maybe not participate because it wouldn't be very difficult get to access to a lot financial stuff for hacking purposes. Any thoughts out there?
I'm not at all sure why for the potential of earning a couple of bucks you would provide this information willingly to companies with whom you had no personal interest in doing business. Is it worth the follow up phone calls? The chance of forgetting to stop a free trial offer in time to avoid having your credit card charged? Making a commitment to doing enough work to earn at least $30 since evidently if you don't do that much work in a 60 day period you get NOTHING. This thing stinks like a skunk. Why would you even consider subjecting yourself to it?
There is a another company that is exactly like swan consumer Logistics it is called Consumer Research Inc. Has anyone heard of this company?
Folks ask about it from time to time. I think someone was asking within the past 24 hrs. I think one just needs to realize that these are NOT mystery shopping, merchandising or surveys.
Yah definite scam. Right if you do not use your actual info you will be deleted or some such. I am very scared. Let's do a campaign to expose them. As a community, Let me know. They probably do not read forums. This gives a bad name to mystery shopping. Let meknow.
