marketforce 12 hour rule

Does anyone know how strict marketforce is with their 12 hour rule for report submission? I performed a fast food shop this morning and submitted this evening, but it was about 15 minutes beyond 12 hours. The report went through with no problems and I was able to upload the receipts as usual. Do you think I'll hear from them about this?

I wouldn't say too strict. They have to realize if you are doing a route that it might not be 12 hours. I did airport shops for them and told them that I couldn't get it in until the next day as I was on a night flight and they understood.

But don't get the email that says you are overdue - thats the cardinal rule. If you get that consistently they'll suspend you - for good.
Snuffy - I was really late on one occasion when I couldn't get an internet connection and it was already midnight. I got up around 6:00 a.m. and the connection was available. I did get a late notice email. I responded and explained what happened and then did the report ASAP. They let me slide.

I get those emails quite often *before* the 12 hours are up. This being because I often eat dinner, care for my dogs, watch a little TV, and then accidentally doze off in the La-Z-Boy before getting to my reports. But I was getting a little worried about accumulating too many of them, even though in all but one or two cases, they were sent *before* the 12-hour deadline. Hmmmmm.

PS: Never not been paid, or been 'scolded'. But they'd probably just can me. Which I worry about, because I do a lot of shops for them lately that have reasonable or actually good pay!

I have done several shops for MF. If they shop report is beyond the 12 hours, I let them know thru the Help-desk, if it is my fault. If it's there fault then they already know b/c I would have informed them. (esp if there site is down or some glick has occur.)

There was a few times in which they invalidated a shop and I challenged the invalidation. To do that they had to sent the shop back to me. To show cause why it shouldn't be. But the let me know that it was beyond the 12 hr limit. They later was returned valid. And I received payment.

They do keep record but also have leniency. Most MSC have the 12 hr reporting time. They are probably checking to see what shoppers can work best under pressure.

You can always ask for extra time or let them know you working late.
I can tell you from personal experience that they will deactivate a shopper for too many late reports. This happened to me, but I was able to be reactivated with just an email to the help desk. Of course, in true MF style, I was not notified of the deactivation. However, when I emailed asking why, they told me, which seems unusual for them. I don't know if it is the number of late assignments, or the client or the nearness to the project deadline that does it. At any rate, I no longer take MF assignments if I can't do them later in the day since I am often gone longer than 12 hours.
update - they accepted it with no problems. i never even heard from them. as it was only about 15 minutes past the 12 hour deadline, and I had not received an email from them, i pretty much expected them to accept it. but, with all the horror stories about MF, i just wasn't sure. thanks for the replies!
It's just like CRI, they say x amount of hours, but if you turn it in the next morning they still take it.

For Marketforce it's anywhere from 1-24 hours depending on the assignment and if you are in blue or purple portal. Mystery shops are typically 12 hours. But they don't bind you to it or start bugging about when are you going to get it done right away. If you were to forget about a shop or not have time to do it because something came up, you can usually reschedule it as late as the morning after you had planned for. For time sensitive assignments, I would not recommend doing this though. Just don't make a habit of it because they won't tell you about any penalties they have against you. If they have issues with you they will ban you from doing assignments (this could be all or just certain types) for a period of time or indefinitely. It could be a problem with one shop or multiples that causes this as well.

For instance, I couldn't complete a trailer check at the last minute due to lack of child care. They felt it was reasonable to remove me from self assign for those assignments for about two weeks and unassign 5 trailer checks I had lined up. I had been doing them regularly for two months at that point with no issues. These assignments say to submit them within 1 hour of completion and always have to be Friday morning. I can't really blame them for penalizing me, trailer checks are highly time sensitive. But it was a bit excessive.
Ah, purple portal. The ones that called me the morning after the super blizzard and wanted to know why I had emailed them that I couldn't do my trailer check the night before and why I couldn't do it that day. It took me 10 minutes for them to understand - The State of CT is CLOSED due to 40" of snow!! -
I think Market Force are generally OK on things like that, especially if as others have suggested you email them to let them know what it was a little late.
