I would like to thank the members of this Forum who emailed me letters of support. I managed to keep my cool and found out there is a Auditor Relations person up there. I sent her all the info and emails. She did a review and reinstated my rating and the job I lost. I have probably made an enemy out of the editor but such is life...winking smiley

I did a shop for a major book seller. The were to cheap or stupid to put a new
ribbon in the printer on their cash register.Mu shop was rejected for lack of
a legible receipt. Then I got an e mail today wanting me to do another, they
were desparate. I told them I would do it for $100, with $50 of it paid in
advance before I drove 35 miles to it. Thwy did not accept my offer.
Seems to be a common problem for that chain of book stores. I called CR about that issue. They told me to send my best scan and then take a pen and trace over the receipt and send that also. It was accepted. You might want to try resubmitting if someone else has not reshopped that location. It would burn me not to get paid for that reason...

I find that with the really light ones it works pretty well to set my printer on the darkest setting and make a copy. Then I can scan the copy and play with it with my scanning software. Normally I can kick up the contrast enough even with a light one to work, but not always. I appreciate the companies that upload the scan into the report and let you see what it will look like when they receive it because it lets me know if I need to go work on the receipt some more.
