For those asking which MSCs shop what places....

SSTOOPPPP!!!

By asking that question you are asking us to violate the ICA's everyone signs when they sign up with the MSC's. Here's how you find the answers to your own questions:

1) Look at the list of MSC's provide on this board
2) Sign up with them.
3) If the name of the MSC is not on this board, look it up.
4) Sign up with them too.

I am signed up with over 30 MSC', and some of us are signed up with more than 100. Please do your own due diligence.

I am signed up with over 50 but still do not know who is doing those darn Olive Garden shops that I want so badly. sad smiley
I read somewhere here (I think) that someone actually asked the business which company shopped them and were told. I don't know if that's true or not.
Canuck, Yes it generally works to mail a hard copy letter to a client to determine who their msc is. BUT....the tactful way to succeed with this is to ask that they forward your contact info to their msc, don't blatantly ask, "Which msc do you use?"
I know, I'm signed up with over one hundred companies and I still cannot find the companies I'm looking for for certain businesses. I sign up with new MSC's every week. It's painstakingly slow and inefficient, but that's the way it is...

Sometimes no matter how many companies we are signed up with, we may not see the one client we really want - who everybody else seems to shop - and it may be because some clients are shopped regionally. In some areas the client is either shopped by a different MSC or not shopped at all.
Or sometimes we can't see the shops because our score is too low. Or sometimes the shops are gone within minutes. I doubt shoppers check all their 100 MSC every dayl
Many of the MS companies have their client's logos scrolling on the bottom of their homepages.
I just did that with a company that shops one of my favorite restaurants around my area.
Google search also helps sometimes as companies do mention their clients in blog posts or somewhere on a website.
If I know, I will tell you, just ask privately. I just ask that you pay it forward.

Signing up for every alleged shop company hoping to get lucky is a huge waste of time and needless exposure of your personal information.

At the risk of being slammed for my opinion, I would like to share my thoughts on the subject. My thought was that this form is for people who want to learn, grow and even help others through the adventures of mystery shopping. I have learned so much from people on this form and I am so grateful. I have signed up with close to 75 companies. That is a lot of applications, lots of emails that I receive (many with the same subject "PLEASE HELP"... You know the ones) however, there are still some places that are shopped that I haven't 'found'. That is where I think we can help each other on this forum.

Do I think we should tell every newbie each place they want to know that is shopped? No.

Do I think you should detail where every company shops! Of course not!

Do I think we should give hints that help others find some places they really want? Yeah, I think that is acceptable.

For example; if you are looking to shop fast food places <no need to give specifically named examples, just saying "fast food" is enough!> try Market Force, Trendsource, strategic reflections.

I didn't state which company shopped which place, but now someone who wanted to shop fast food places has a better idea where to start.

Mod note: edited to remove client names.
I'm not slamming you for your opinion, but the only opinion that matters is that of the person who created the forum and established some damn loose guidelines for joining.

I still don't understand why those who have an issue with not revealing clients continue to gripe or make public announcements about how they have no intention of showing any respect to Jacob and will do whatever they damn well please. There is another option and nobody will ever tell me why they don't just start their own shopping forum and make their own rules. There is certainly no law against it. BTW, I am not being facetious. I really would like someone to answer the question.

Equal rights for others does not mean fewer rights for you. It's not pie.

What fun would it be to troll my own forum?

Your gonna need to change your sig line because that strikes me as an incredibly honest answer.

I'm signed up with about 150. I've never seen Olive Garden yet

Best place I've found to find reliable MSCs is the list of companies that belong to MSPA. I have that list in my faves.
@Prince, Most likely you are signed up for the MSC already as it is a popular one. However, you have to have done a shop or two to get the Olive Garden ones to show up. Also, they are going fast so they may be already done in your area.

Hint: This same MSC also shops some of the other Darden restaurants.

Shopping across Indiana but mostly around Indianapolis.
Yes, the MSC who does the Olive Garden only makes them visible to their A-list shoppers, and they tend to go quickly. I didn't think that the reimbursement for the shop was worth what I had to do for it. This MSC has other restaurant shops that have a higher reimbursement for the same or less amount of work.
@lbw1000 Thanks for that. I guess it might be one of the many companies I only check if I'm going to be in the city anyway. There are a lot of companies I've never worked for as they have no work where I live.

I'll have to start checking their job boards just to see what I could be doing. grinning smiley
