Mystery Shopping Online Job Input, Please!

Hi everyone and thanks for reading! I may have missed them, when I perused the lists of companies here, so I wondered if you guys have heard of/worked for Mystery Shopping Online Job? Having been scammed before (I didn't fall for it, but it sucked), I did a lot of research and found this great forum and now my first job.

So, I saw MSOJ advertising on Craigslist in my area. Basically, I wanted to know if I should flag them as spam, or leave it, because they are a fabulous company that I would be lucky to work for?! I guess the FAQs page seemed hinky to me, so the link is below. I'll spare you what my red flags were, as I don't want to influence anyone who takes a look:

I looked at the website. While well-written overall, there are some weird statements on the site, such as from the FAQ section stating:

"We use postal service addresses to mail free gifts offered to panel members, prizes to sweepstakes winners, products to test, and cash or merchandise that you redeem with your Reward Points. Products to test, cash prizes and cash redemptions may be mailed directly to panel members by the mysteryshoppingonlinejob.com team and thus do not require sharing of your name and address with outside parties. However, your name, postal address and email address may also be shared with mysteryshoppingonlinejob.com reward suppliers when you redeem your Reward Points -so they can ship to you directly."

It all sounds odd and not like anything from any mystery shopping company I have ever dealt with. My senses tell me to not trust it. Go with the list of companies on this website and steer clear.
Oh, to add further, here is another excerpt:

Many individuals find the above tasks are relatively simple to complete due to the fact the majority of the communication is conducted through online means. Although interacting through the internet can prove to be beneficial and it can also cut back on operating time and costs, there are a variety of different companies that will acquire their shoppers through references and meet with the participants face-to-face. When an individual is called into a secret shopper meeting, they will generally go over the details that are included with the shopping opportunity and then send the participants through the store to participate in the shopping venture. Once the shopping has been completed, the individuals are then required to report back to the person who hired them. They will then complete their reports and come to a complete analysis of what needs to be improved and implemented in the store.

Hoaky, hoaky, hoaky sounding...
Thanks! My sentiments also. I wasn't going to try them, as there are certainly enough here to keep me occupied. I was looking for another job, so stumbled upon it. Guess I'll leave it up, for the "experience is what we get when we don't get what we want" others may need?!
I also found this company on Craigslist. I figured I'd try it... sort of. I got the e-mailed list of online jobs. It just a list of online companies to submit your information for quotes on things and you are supposed to take notes on the professionalism of the people who call you, if they call you. I did a few, but scrolled down to see what else there was. The last "job" asks for you to go to a website that will show your computer IP address so they can verify you are you and that you don't make any fraudulent activities while mystery shopping the websites. This was a big red flag for me. If they get your IP address they have a door to you. Granted, an IP address can be found by anyone, I'm just not so sure about this. The top of the Job Sheet says this should take about 85 minutes to complete and will pay about $49. If you get a phone call they add $1 to that amount for each call. This money you can have deposited into your PayPal or a check. I opted for PayPal, but I am not certain I should continue on. This is all a bit fishy. Any new updates from anyone?
Sounds like a Racket, not a Mystery Shopping Company:

From Rip Off Report:

I answered an ad on craigslist jobs for a mystery shopper thinking that the company was interested in feed back on their product, personel and over all service. What I found was that it was just a way for the company to generate "leads" for the telemarketers to call and solicitate business, while the "mystery shopper company" earned money on the sales of the "referrals"

I wrote to them after just the first assignment (which was about 12 online solicitations which caused tons of unwanted emails, phone calls and telemarketers harrassing me about everything from life insurance to going back to school to home security systems and yes even attorneys calling me to try to sell their services to sue people for injuries and illness) So if you want to spend 5 hours and make 12$ and get flooded with unwanted emails and have your phone ringing off the hook with telemarketers check them out....personally a waste of time and very annoying. No money to be make here.

Actual letter I wrote to the company: Read more here.

Don't know for sure, but I doubt any legit MSC advertises on Craigslist. Some specifically state on their websites that they don't.

I learn something new every day, but not everyday!
I've learned to never trust spell-check or my phone's auto-fill feature.
SCAM! SCAM! SCAM!
Do not go on Craigs list. If you allow them to get into your computer, you will be in big trouble. They can screw up your computer, than call you and tell you for $250 they will fix it for you. Just another nightmare. Never give out any information, as you see they will haunt you. They figure I sucked them in, now I will continue. Do Not respond.
This is actually one of the reasons I joined this forum, because I was googling this company. I just finished a job sheet for them, so I don't have information on payment, etc...yet.
I will say that I partly agree with what was written on the ripoffreport.com in that you will most definitely get inundated by calls and emails, because all the "jobs" listed on the excel job sheet they send you have links to go to different websites and they all require you to put in your name, address, phone # and email. It says you get paid an extra $1.00 for every phone call you take, and it also gives you a list of responses you can give, like telling the person that you are almost out of minutes and to email you the information.
While I found these calls annoying -(my husband is not very happy with all of them, LOL)-I just used the different responses for most of them and they haven't called back.
I will give an update on payment, etc...if anyone is interested.
