Companies that email you for assignments and do not put blind copy for everyone else.

For example, today I received an email from SeeLevel HX for an assignment they need completed and I can see the email addresses for everyone else that they emailed. I often wondered how many shoppers there are in my area, now I know (at least how many are signed up with them. I'm thinking of emailing them all and introducing myself, not. My problem is that they can see me and part of the email has my actual name in it. I guess that's my new resolution, to change my shopping email address.

Ardent did that. Needless to say, I was pissed. Remington did i as well with me and another shopper.

Yeah, I have a merchandising company that I do demos for that sends out mass emails to us (100s of demo reps) without cloaking everyone. Poor etiquette. The biggest problem is when one rep would be using their iPhone and would reply using "reply all" and each of us would be involved with a conversation with someone we didn't even know. I spoke up about it and of course I was the one who looked like an a-hole for making a big deal about it, but it stopped.
That's why, in Merchandising anyway, I just do my own thing. I set as fast and furious as I can and if anyone needs help I will help them but I try not to say anything at all. Too much gets misconstrued; as you said, when you think you're doing a good thing and it turns on you it's really disheartening.
Oh, I don't get riled too easily, LOL. Plus I am the youngest of 6 kids so I grew a tough skin at an early age. But it needed to stop and no one would say anything about it though I am sure some were thinking "Why am I getting a message about something that doesn't pertain to me". I demo for a nutritional brand and a lot of my peers are new age hippies (like I was in my 20s) and they don't like to rock the boat, make waves, or have any negative vibes, you dig (old school hippie talk). With merchandising (at least for resets) I generally am the team lead so I have to get involved in what everyone is doing, and sometimes people don't get along and I have to get involved (heavy sigh).
A particular concern of mine when that happens is that NONE of us know WHO out there would go and SELL our email addresses to spammers/phishers, etc...so I get ticked off, too, when that happens!! I don't think it's a particularly safe thing to do, and I will also speak up about it through email to the guilty party!
