TrendSource EIN

Help! I did one job for TrendSource and thought my social security was the EIN. Apparently not. I am scheduled for two jobs this week, but there is no way I am applying for this number. Am I out of luck?

I applied for one but I spoke to 2 accountants (personal and friend)to make sure there wouldn't be any issues in my area and they said I was ok to do so. You would need to check as well before doing so.
Do check before applying for the EIN. In some areas it amounts to nothing different; in other areas, due to state or local business requirements, it may trigger additional business requirements.
with limited exception, and I have yet to actually see proof of it, some say there are a few localities require things just because you have an ein. I know no state requires anything extra. For everyone else, it won't have an effect.

How would it effect my federal taxes? No state tax here. My husband believes it will make us have to pay quarterly.
Not so limited as you might think techman01. Those on partial or full disability are affected. Both cases are allowed to make a certain amount of additional money each year. If these folks apply for an EIN, it affects their status and may reduce or eliminate benefits...

Shopping Bama and parts of Georgia.
I'm still learning 24/7.

Ok yes I've been reading many say they wouldn't get one but I didn't know a lot of ppl here were getting disability benefits. Sorry to hear it'll affect a lot of you, it's ashame Trendsource would knowingly do that.
You can connect with IRS.gov and research any tax issue.

I'm having some problems with my EIN as well. I got a business license several years ago because I'm an artist. I haven't needed to use the EIN number for anything in the past 4 years and now I can't find it! I can't apply for a new one because there's already one associated with my social security number. Very annoying, I wish Trendsource wasn't requiring this. I've already done a couple of shops for them, I'm not sure how it's all going to end up.
The Social Security Admin can supply your old EIN, or you can ask the IRS to send you a copy of your tax form for a year in which you used it to file taxes, in case you don'tt have copies of your old tax forms.
