New to Video shopping

Just bought a PVO Eco 500. Fits on with a hidden button, how on earth are you supposed to get a good angle, or even know if the subject is in frame.

Any advice would be helpful.

If you're in North Carolina, give up now, there's no work here winking smiley If you're from anywhere else then welcome to the world of video shopping! It's a whole new ballgame! I think most of us got shirts adjusted through Kathy Hart. You can put the button cam on and start up the unit and see for yourself if you're getting the subject in the frame. When you're actually doing a shop though you just have to hope it's all sitting correctly!
Sinclair Customer Metrics actually has a very informative "briefing" about video mystery shopping. It explains how to adjust the camera aim and everything. If I post my link, I don't know if you can view it without logging in as me. Maybe you should go to SCM's website and see if they have any briefings about video shopping and read them. It answered all of my questions. I don't currently own a button camera (I'm just getting started, and wouldn't be willing to buy one unless I knew that it would pay for itself), but Sinclair apparently will rent them (with a $200 security deposit) for their video shops. I'm eager to do it, if they allow me! I'd absolutely LOVE to catch a car salesman lying on camera!
I'd like to catch a fast food drive thru person saying nothing to me, yet holding out a hand to take my money as I drive up. That's just wrong... and it happens so often. Half the time I don't even get a "thank you"; so I don't know if I have my entire order or not. sad smiley
@LadyAcappella: This has only happened to me once as a consumer (I'm new to mystery shopping). The woman in the drive-thru was unintelligible on the speaker at the menu board, and when I got to the window she literally stuck her hand out with her back turned to me while she was having a conversation with another employee inside the store. I had no idea what my total was, and she never said a word to me.

I was so upset that I contacted the fast food company via their website to complain. I got a call from the regional manager to apologize and offer me coupons. I refused the coupons and just asked her to make sure this never happens again. I usually get great service at this particular location, and I had never seen this woman before (or since!). I think they canned her.
Barnabas, even though I hate being the whistle blower (I shouldn't hate it though), this person should have been canned. You're blessed if it only happened to you once!
Just an FYI for those interested in video shopping with SCM, I schedule the video shops and I can waive the deposit fee on use of our equipment. Now I only have GA,FL and one NC location> High Point but my shops pay $135 (some may have bonus...just ask). Those with their own equipment the shops pay $150.00 want more info, contact me through PM, you can visit the website and register if you are not already. Also talk to me about my referral bonus for my video shops.
