How do I send receipt?

I saw a shop I was interested in that request you send the receipt with report the day of or after. But they didn't specify how...I know you can't mail the receipt, you would miss the deadline.

Do these companies accetp fax receipt. What are the different ways you guys have speedily sent in your receipts/proofs?

Each assignment has some way of transmitting a copy of the receipt. Most want a jpg upload or a fax. I prefer using a digital camera because it is easy to edit the jpg if it is too large, too light, etc., so I can be sure that I am sending a legible receipt the first time.

Poor customer service? Don't get mad; get video.
I usually just scan the receipt to upload it. Most often the receipt is uploaded as part of the report, sometimes they may have you e-mail it, sometimes they provide a fax number to send it to. In their instructions they always indicate how you were to submit it.
Uploading into report is the norm, however many have a fax #, if you can't find it, email the scheduler and ask, it will come over same day. Emailing is accepted as well.

Read the instructions for how the receipt is to be submitted. Not all accept e-mail, not all accept faxes, not all reports allow up loading into them. I even recently needed to mail in the receipt by U.S. mail. There is no "one size fits all" for handling receipts.
I mostly take pic of receipt and upload into report. I notice a big change with most companies wanting it uploaded. I used to do more faxing, but many of my companies are no longer accepting fax's. Instructions also pre-empt anyone's opinion. Time spent asking for opinion can be spent reading instructions.

Most MSC's have been up grading there way of getting receipts. Today most want them scanned and uploaded into the report. There is usually a prompt that will tell you where toupload. The best way also to keep all receipots together is to create a folder mine in Scanned receipts. After 6 monhs I send the receipts to the recycle bin. Hope this helps.
Because receipts are needed both for the shop report and as backup for my tax return, I want to keep them for at least three years after I have submitted my tax return for the year. Thus I keep my hard copy of the receipt with a shop paperwork in a folder by month, and I keep the scan of the receipt by company. Whatever works.
