New Shopper Intro

Hello everyone! I'm Roz in Virginia. I started mystery shopping in July and I have found it enjoyable but I'm starting to feel that they ask a whole lot for little pay. But, being newly retired, this keeps me from sitting at home doing nothing and it does supplement the income!

Welcome. I live in Virginia and the pay varies. You have to sign up for a lot of companies and let everyone get to know your work. Plus, I live in a rural area and there aren't a lot of shops to begin with. If you don't mind traveling or if you already live in a more populated area you might do better. Good luck and keep trying it definitely gets a little easier.
I'm in Central VA so I do get to take advantage of some in the Richmond area but I have to plan wisely because its rare I even drive that far. But if I do I try to stack them so that its worth the drive. Thanks for sharing.
Hello all! I am considering joining the ranks of mystery shopping but thought I should start here to see if it was a profitable side hustle. Looking for guidance and insight!

Hi, we are empty nesters, this is Dave, and we travel. Sometimes we are in Michigan. We like mystery shopping when we are in the Detroit area, it's fun, and helps us finance our volunteer work hobby, helping out with community gardens and memorial gardens. Hope that this is a useful tool for us.
Hi! I’m Abby from Louisiana! I started picking up mystery shopping earlier this year to help make some extra money along with my part time job while I’m in college since it allowed for flexible timing!
Hello, I'm Leah and I live in Houston, Texas. I started mystery shopping about 10 years ago. I am a teacher and soon retiring. I stopped shopping because teaching has become to demanding. I am ready to start shopping and even take it on the road. I have shopped on vacation before, and it is a nice way to enhance my trips.
Define profitable? I cover my expenses when I mystery shop. I make very little per hour unless you need what you are reimbursed for. Our favorite a garage clean out. We really needed it but it was not in our budget. That is the same with expensive dinners. My household budget is definitely cover by my full time job.
