I've worked with Mosaic for almost a year now. I love them! They are my permanent part time job. How great of a time you have with them is entirely dependent on your boss and the people you work with mostly. I've had a boss change a couple of times and I had a completely different experience with each. Assignments are usually due Mon-Fri and must be in by midnight where the company is based out of (Texas). So that means 10pm where I live. My previous supervisor wanted everything in by 6pm, be in the store by at minimum 8am and to please have everything done on Thursday and leave Friday for emergencies. My new supervisor doesn't care when I go in as long as it's in by 10pm Friday. I work in Walmart at several locations and I love all the people I interact with day to day but I've heard some other people not being so lucky. However they pay bi-weekly and nothing is very difficult.

I forgot to mention that I'm part of the Walmart team.

I have also worked for Mosaic for almost a year as well and I think they are a GREAT company. Very professional and helpful. I am an Entertainment Specialist (merchandising rep) and take care of DVD's, Bluerays & Gaming in Future Shop, Best Buy, & Toys R Us in Canada.

The calls are on Tuesdays & Thursdays and the work is easy. Lots of photos required but they supply you with a Motorola Hand-Held Device in which all call reports are done on then uploaded to their portal at the end of the day.

Pay is $14.00 per hour plus paid mileage and copies I make from my printer. They pay every 2 weeks direct deposit.

Lots of perks too... as entertainment reps, we get free BluRay/DVD's, t-shirts, lanyard, movie passes, 3D glasses, etc if goals are achieved by the studios (Paramount, Fox, Disney, etc.).

One of the biggest benefits for me is that Mosaic is a north-american company. I live in northern Ontario and my daughter got accepted into college in the Toronto area (5 hours away), so Mosaic is going to have me cover other reps from Scarborough to Oshawa area in the Best Buy & Walmart stores which will give me lots of hours.
I just applied with them before I say your post. I still have to do the second interview but I think it will go smoothly. One thing though, they told me the pay was 11/12 an hour but they would start me at 12.00. I wonder if they start paying more when you've been with them for a while. It's 2 days a week but they make it seem as if they want you available all week anyways. Also they want a copy of your drivers license, clean MVR report, and that you pass a drug test. That's more information then 75% of the mystery shopping companies I already do work for want or need. Are you an employee or an independent contractor?

Floating around like a feather hoping the wind will set me down somewhere awesome.

Starcodes works and lives in Canada so the wage would be different there. Keep in mind that many merchandising jobs do not give raises.
Drug test and driving record requirements are common as you may be driving in between stores on the clock. Comparing mystery shopping to merchandising is apples and oranges (and I do both).
I have been asked for my drivers license for every merchandising company that I have worked for (employee and IC). That is not the case for any mystery shopping companies that I have accepted assignments for.
You would be an employee, not an ic. I'm not sure what division you would be with but for me it's a permanent part time job.

Hourly wage also depends largely on the market. The Chicago market is usually $2 or $3 an hour higher than the Milwaukee market for example. Experience counts for some of the difference also.
I have found that a certain company is advertising Fast Food Audits in the merchandising section on a site I regularly check. When you read the job description, it is really an unrevealed Mystery Shop. Shame on them.
I am up in Quebec, been trying to get in with them for years, and just can't seem to crack the nut.
