SAS Retail Services

Hi, I applied to this company and they emailed me back right away about an interview. I went to glassdoor.com and I read the reviews about this company and now I am very leery. I usually take these things with a grain of salt but when it comes to my paycheck then I get nervous. Alot of people expressed the fact that their pay was always inaccurate, or the amount of hours they worked. Yikes! a red flag of sorts for me.

Have any of you had any dealings with them and if so what are your thoughts? and what are some of the better merchandising companies in the area. I am in WI

Sorry, I don't know anything about SAS. I don't know if they are "better", but I work for Lawrence Merchandising, and I like it. It's $10 an hour as an employee. I wish there was a little more work for me, but it's a good way to get my feet wet in this field since I'm new at it. It is really on the job training, as there are no teams to be a part of. They are very good about answering the phone and emailing me back right away when I have questions though. If you live near a Target you will have tons of work. My closest Target is about 45 minutes from me, which is too far for the money. Right now I do gift cards at Giant Stores, Weis & USPS, and greeting cards at Cracker Barrel. When I get brave enough to work the scanner tool at Pet Supplies, I'll add those jobs in too. Sometimes they offer bonuses if you will travel out of your area for a job.
SAS does do lots of store remodels. Overnights and out of town if you want it. They are doing some right now that are days, but you have to commit to all of them for that particular week. Backtowork, when you get more experience you will get more money. It's a shame Target is too far for you, I used to do the jewelry wall 2x a week for Lawrence. Who would hate seeing the new designs every week? It was cheap jewelry, but fun.
I love anything that doesn't ship 50 lbs. of product per box!

I'm happy with the money. I am inexperienced and therefore slow. But they are very understanding about it.

The Target has so many opportunities! I've seen fit bit, Excell trading cards, sunglasses and maybe jewelry, I don't really remember. And they are always offering bonuses to go there.

I did have an opportunity to put together ride on cars at Walmart, but it was due in my very first week. I wasn't taking that on!

I went to do a reset last week and ended up installing a new fixture instead! I was super nervous but I think I did a really good job. It did take me 12 hours though, LOL.
Ouch, 12 hours. Nothing like an ugly surprise. That's one long day. At least you got paid for all your hours.
