I just saw your post, this is a SCAM....... I am assuming that you received instructions to cash the check and send back a certain amount of money to the sender. If this is the case, the check is bad. Do not cash it or deposit it. Either give it to your bank or call the police. Let me explain how this works, The sender send you a bad check for say $1,000, then they tell you to keep an amount. Say $150.00 and send them the remainder. The check then bounces and you are out $1,000, the scammers get your $850.00.
