Instant-Replays sent me an email for age defying cream

The email started out

Want To Look Younger?

Finally, an age defying breakthrough in skincare with real results!

Mark Bray Enterprises has a new opportunity to share with you, which can help you look and feel younger in 90 days or less. The Nerium age defying treatment has helped thousands of clients around the world, experience a new sense of confidence based on positive results from using the Nerium AD product once daily.

I do have a birthday coming in a few days but I do not appreciate this kind of reminder or using their shoppers to solicit sales for a product unrelated to shopping.

I got the same message.

Signing us up for an unsolicited email list like this is very weak and kind of shady.

I thought instant replays had a good rep in the video shopping world?

There is already another thread on this subject and yes, IR has an excellent reputation. It was suggested their e-mail had been hacked. Apparently there is a link to unsubscribe, but until I hear something definitive about how the e-mail came about I will not take that action.

Equal rights for others does not mean fewer rights for you. It's not pie.

Doesn't look like they were hacked as its linked to the partner company of instant replays.

Disappointing to say the least.

Very......

You would think that when you sign up they would have some kind of wording in their agreement to not use your confidential information.

The fact is we as shoppers hand over virtually every detail of our private lives to these companies.

Events like this don't instill confidence in the MS industry.

Not sure what the MSPA thinks of this? Im guessing they are too busy figuring out what is happening with the freeman group!

I think at the very least these companies should have a policy of not selling the info to third party marketing companies, even those under the same company umbrella.

I signed up with IR about two years ago and b4 I could completethe process. I receive an email that IR had gone out of business and all jobs had been suspennded.

Maybe this Mark Bray Enterprises is using a name he has no right to.

I don't know, I just know what was sent to me.
At the foot of the email there is a link to unsubscribe. I did so and got a confirming email to that effect. I have been in touch with Mark, who, I think now realizes that shoppers consider that use of the shopper list to be nothing but SPAM.

Sojo, Instant Replay has been in continuous operation for many years. I have done scores of shops for them over the past 7 years. Mark Bray owns it and some other entrprises that use his name. I think that he may have learned his lessoon from the very loud outcry from his shoppers over this. IR does mostly video shops and I can testify that video shoppers, as a group, tend to be serious activists. Mark's email has lit up like sunrise with shopper complaints, since most of IR's shoppers have his email addy and even the phone numbers of Mark and most of his schedulers!

Poor customer service? Don't get mad; get video.
I work a lot with Instant Replays and have never experienced anything but respect and fairness, plus I am paid when promised. I wrote Mark, too, and he does realize he made a mistake.
I just received this apology email. Obviously Mark realizes a mistake was made.

I actually commend him for being big enough in admitting the mistake.

Recently, you received an email sent out by Mark Bray Enterprises regarding an age defying skincare product called Nerium AD. I would like to start off by apologizing for sending the email without any indication that it was coming straight from me personally. I received many concerned emails that my account was hacked, but all shopper information has remained confidential throughout this process as it always will. I never want to offend anyone that works closely with Instant-Replays because I value what you do for us. I should have presented the information in a personal manner rather than bombarding emails with an advertisement. My only goal was to share a new product that I believe in and actually use. Many mystery shoppers are independent contractors and have their own business and my thought was that others could enjoy the benefits of the product through a business opportunity or by simply using the product. Once again, I apologize and I am extremely sorry for any !
inconvenience or concern this email has caused you. I promise that all names have been removed from the marketing list and information will only be sent to those that project their interest in the product.

Sincerely,

Mark Bray

I think that the entire shopper list got the apology. He's very fortunate in his staff and in the willingness of the shoppers to stand up for themselves instead of just going away in disgust. Lesson learned; let's go on together!

Truthfully, if there would have been more of an explanation with the original e-mail it would have not been so disconcerting. Although I've worked with IR, his name was not familiar to me, hence my apprehension.

All's well that ends well.
