I got too greedy

Saturday I have 8 audits in a town 60 miles away (and 1 is completely new to me, never done before). Intellishop was offering a bonus for a location in that area (90 miles away from me, 30 miles from the previous town). I asked for a bigger bonus and it was approved, so I got 3 MS instead of 1 with all the same bonus. So I thought it was plenty. STN was offering a name your bonus for a shop in town one and I shot a big bonus thinking they wouldn't approve. Meanwhile I got another MS from intellishop in the same area of the others with bonus...and right now STN approved my requested bonus.
13 shops!!!! I have never done anything higher than 7 and here they are all far away from me!!!!!
I already told my wife I am heading out at 5am...I am so stressed. I might dictate the reports on the phone to my wife from the car. When I come home I check the answer, add the pictures and send. But I still doubt I can make it by 12am sad smiley(((( WHAT HAVE I DONEEEE???????

Why haven't you requested extensions on reports that say they have a 12 hour deadline? I know for a fact that Second to None is great about that when you are picking up locations that are far from home and hard to fill. I also thought most Intellishop reports have a 24 hour window. Off hand, the only companies I can think of that are a-holes about report extensions are Market Force and Bestmark.

And the 7 audits are MF LOL.

Good luck and drive safely, please.

Are the MSCs OK with you doing this with your wife?

Are they the gas audits? You may want to go over the guidelines with a fine tooth comb. Back when I did them, the deadline was actually 24 hours. It was there somewhere, just not easily found. I found it and then got verification from the Help Desk. At that time the vitamin audits were also 24 hours. If these were locations they had trouble filling and decided to bonus, I'd ask anyway. The worst they can say is no.

Years ago, after Market Force acquired Speedmark, which had acquired SG Marketing (I miss SG Marketing!), I arranged with my SG/MF scheduler to do several shops that were several hundred miles away from my home. (I was doing other shops in the area but I was driving, not flying, and therefore needed the extra time.)

After I submitted all the shops on time (based on my agreement with the scheduler), I got a warning email from Help Desk about late shops, blah blah blah.

Fortunately for me, my scheduler was a woman of integrity and she admitted it was her error. She fixed everything. She was apologetic and graceful. The Help Desk? Not so much.

I have noticed, however, that the Help Desk has been much nicer recently. I hope that lasts.

I don't know busybee....she actually just puts down the first print of the report. I go through it with a fine comb (and of course I will have to since I have to match the picture to the questions). I do that because MF won't let you download the pictures till you have filled all the questionnaire. This way I can come home upload them and with my paperwork go through them. My wife is not actually doing the reports, she is just "opening" them for me to upload the pictures. basically as if someone lies on a table the paperwork for you and when you come home you fill it up.
As per confidenciality, she does audits too for MF, so she knows the contents of the forms and actually even the locations (we share the routes...in fact I almost thought to cancel few audits and have her pick them up. But my daughter would be alone at home so it is not possible).

Lisa I will ask them...I actually do not like to postpone the reports, but it is always a good thing to know in case I will be late.

Well...I'd better start printing the paperwork, prepare the folders on my laptop for the pictures and study the new audit. I wonder if our fees actually reflects all the time we use for out jobs LOL

The fees reflecting the amount of work depends entirely on the MSC. For Market Force they don't. Thank goodness it's not the case with every company.

Yup...and Dynamic Advantage gave me 24 hours. So the most urgent ones are the MF...LOL go figure. But I delivered audits at 4am before and they did not say anything. maybe because I always do audits on Saturdays and on Sundays they are not in the office? LOL

A shopper for MF would usually get an automatically generated "courtesy" email in the earning morning if a shop that was scheduled for Day 1 had not been reported by the earning morning hours of Day 2. Unless the report was more than 12 hours late, the Help Desk would often say nothing. (The tardiness would be in their records though.)
I did 13 shops yesterday and couldn't start them until 10am because they were an hour away and I couldn't shop the locations until 11am and I had to have them all done by 6pm. It was close but I got there. If I was you I would be up and out the door by 7.30 and then just take it one shop at a time. Don't stress or you'll screw up!

The other thing I do when I have a lot of shops like that is I email the schedulers and ask for an extension of time to enter the shops. That way I can leisurely do my reports the next day and make sure I get them right.

Good luck!

Nope..I get out of the door at 5am. Yahoo map gave the whole route, coming back home included, 5hours and 24 minutes. The first 4 MS are open 24 hours, so I can go there if it is dark. If I can I want to do all the reports by midnight Saturday. I promised my wife at least one day a week I am all hers and Sunday works fine. We go fishing smiling smiley
