We Do Make A Difference

A few months ago I did a hardware store MS. It was awful and a very negative report. I wasn't greeted; noone came to the department I was in; I finally tracked someone down - and she knew nothing. She got someone over to help, but he seemed to want to be elsewhere; the cashier never acknowledged me, just told me the total - and no "thank you" or "goodbye".

I've avoided going back because I disliked it so much. But, because of a bonus, I went back today. I was cheerfully greeted, asked what I was in for, escorted to the product,. The cashier was cheerful and thanked me. These were different people than the first time. It was great, and I have to believe MSers made the difference.

We do make a difference. I've seen it on businesses I shop.

Mary Davis Nowell. Based close to Fort Worth. Shopping Interstate 20 east and west, Interstate 35 north and south.
I have seen the changes when I go back to an assignment. Some with Customer Service and one particular place, structural.
For more on this, there's a thread running simultaneousy with the same discussion here:

I have done that shop twice in my town - I don't like it either and sooooo rude....both times. I have sworn it off. It was like pulling teeth to get someone to acknowledge my existence in the store AND there was only one other customer!
