Northwest Loss prevention, they never notified my that my shop was rejected and they did not pay me, so I spend over 30 dollars on the meal for two and the got the shop complete and I lost my money.

I do have rejection for my assignment, for not working within the frame work or not following instructions. You need to check where the missing links is and learn from it. Keep on looking for assigment.
Bare Assoicates didn't pay me for a shop I did, since they said it didn't meet the guidelines. Now I don't even get e-mail from them. Shoppers beware!
Mystery Diners Inc I did the assignment spent 50 dollars, was unable to do the bar section of the assignment because it was impossible to even get close to the bar..location was so busy but that I had sat at a table close enough to observe what was happening at the bar while I performed the other portion of the assignment.. I have e-mailed them several times explaining that the one part of the assignment was impossible to do, but do not get a direct answer back. I do not her from them anymore and am out 50 dollars. The first two shops I did for them were fine, but if you run into any problem don't expect understanding or payment.

I would not recommend doing any shopping for them.
I've done bar shops too...if its crowded you just have to worm your way in there and remember the mission....any job that isn't done to the client's specifications will not be reimbursed. You can't take it personally; that's just how it is. Sorry you got stiffed like that.
I am having a problem getting paid from a mystery shopping orgainization and I have emailed them 6 times and they don't even acknowlege my emails. It is Shoppers Corner or better known as Sinclair. It was in October 06 and it was a measly $14.00. I did everything that was required of me. I bought a item and then had to return it to see how they accepted a return on the same day. I put in the paperwork in the time frame that I was told to. I figured if they are having a hard time paying me a little bit of money. I am glad I found out now instead of them owing me 50-100 dollars. So shoppers beware if you do a shop for Sinclair.
I had a company that I had to respond to numerous times just to get paid. Not just once. The first time it was only $15 the next two were just phone shops which were for a total of $10 each. They finally did pay me, but it was a lot of work. I finally asked them if this was how they normally do business? If it was, to take me off of their list. The company was CSP (Customer Service Perceptions).

Thanks for listing the problem companies. I went ahead and printed out the list of companies and am scratching off the ones giving trouble - so I know not to apply to them.
If anyone else has problem companies, please let me know.

Greetings,

I do a lot of work for them and I have my schedulers phone number and her manager's also. I always get a confirmation number when I input my shop and an email when my receipts are processed. They also have a link at the bottom of the page that tells you when payment is sent, which is the next month.

Did you ever find out why you didn't get paid?

I must be lucky, I have only once or twice not been paid for a shop and I was the one at fault. I didn't follow the shopper instructions as I should have. It seems to me that if I do what is required and follow the shop instructions I get paid. The trick to mystery shopping is to follow through and follow the instructions as given. If something causes you not to follow the instructions, how can the company be at fault. When I first start working for a new company I only do 1 or 2 jobs for them to see if they pay, if they don't pay I don't use them again. I have completed 300 to 400 shops now and have only not been paid by sinclair. I learned that I do not shop for them any longer. As for Bare I have completed over 50 shops for them and only 1 shop was rejected, that was because I didn't follow the shopper guide lines. I believe that most of the shopping companies out there are for real, and do pay as stated. We as shoppers need to follow the instructions and follow through with our commitment to complete the shops.

Mike you are so right. I have always been paid when I complete the assignment as instructed. The couple of times I didn't get paid it was my fault for not reading the instructions more carefully.

CheckMark had some problems last summer with payments. Because of the boards, I knew it was going to be a while. They owed me $234 and none of it was reimbursements. I watched the boards and the horrible way shoppers behaved, which by the way did them no good. I knew either I would get paid or not whether I pestered them or not. I just waited patiently and almost 3 months later the check finally came.

The lesson I learned was to never put anymore into a company than I can afford to lose. When my money is on the line, such as reimbursements, I am especially careful to do the assignment exactly the way the company specifies.

As for for my worst experience, it usually has nothing to do with the shops. It is more computer related. For instance, last night I went to the bathroom in between reports. My little grandson got a hold of my mouse and took the little ball. I do not know how to use the computer without a mouse and the rest of my reports were due by midnight. After 45 minutes on our hands and knees, my husband, my daughter-in-law and myself found it between the refrigerator and the cupboard. Another problem he is famous for is turning of the power strip and shutting down my computer during a report.

Making the world a better place to shop, one assignment at a time!
