my first purchase and return shops

I did my first retail purchase with return shops last week. I always felt like I wouldn't like them but there were several shops to pick up in one outlet mall. One was Columbia and I was lucky enough to find some snow pants for 75% off to keep, the other was Le Creuset. 4 employees working, 1 customer (me), tiny store, I can't imagine they get tons of business anyway and I'm supposed to return in 30 minutes to return the item I just picked out. Who really returns 30 minutes later to return something they just bought? I didn't care because all I could think was "I don't want this $70 10x13 pan." *Perfect score on the return portion of that shop, WOW!*

Just think of it as buyer's remorse. You kept shopping through the mall, bought more things, and realized that you needed some room on your credit card for the bills you're going to have to pay in a few days. Not that you have to tell them all this, it's just part of the actor's prep--knowing your motivation.
Glad you liked your shop. I personally didn't like the few P&R shops that I did because I rarely return stuff in real life. When I buy something I usually like it and use it so the 'return' part of the shop was rather uncomfortable. I ended up returning a lot of stuff that I would've normally kept. Not fun.

I hate returning stuff and unless its something pricey I just end up donating it or giving it to a family member. So I have not tried these P&R shops. I wish they'd at least leave the window longer for when you can return the items. Going back to a shop in 30min is a bit of a drag. I worked retail for years and never had a customer come back in 30 minutes. Usually a customer would wait a few days before returning things.

Floating around like a feather hoping the wind will set me down somewhere awesome.
Don't like P&R either. Before Coach spotted me as a MS, I used to shop them and buy stuff that I would keep. Guidelines state that you can keep or return the item.

I can't say I love purchase return shops, but what I like about them is my money is not tied up.
I had a good story and I was fine with completing it, but like I said, who ever comes back in 30 minutes to return something. When the associate looked towards me and asked if I was returning, she smiled. Not the customer service smile, more like the "Oh, really?" smile
