Shopping Wendy's and McDonald's this Thursday

Anyone else have shops on Thursday? That's the day of the big protest where some groups say they are going to participate in civil disobedience to trigger arrests. I'm not sure I want to be in the middle of that but then I say I should not be a wuss.

Plan the work. Work the plan.
I didn't realize Thursday was another day of protest. Huh. Might have to take a FF shop and bring popcorn.
Depending on your location, it probably won't be a problem for you. Mainstream media has barely made any mention of it that I could find. The originating locations, such as Miami area, may see some protests but other than that I think it will be pretty quiet. You could just plan to do you shops and on the off chance you get there and see a dangerous situation, you can address it with your scheduler at that time.

There are two types of people in this world: Those who can extrapolate from incomplete data.
First of all, I would like to protest the fact that McDonald's is considered food.

Second, certain groups in Miami will protest anything because they have nothing better to do. And they like being on the news.

I have a compare/contrast shop tomorrow. I am not sure what I will do if I come across protests because I wouldnt feel able to do the shops. We are a small town, though, so it might not be an issue.
why oh why out of the 90 companies I am signed up with can I not find Wendys to save my life?
I'm not sure I want to do our Wendy's. I went in there a couple weeks ago to grab lunch before I had to go to work. They've been advertising that Smoked Gouda chicken sandwich so I thought I'd try it.

I never eat at Wendy's. Occasionally I pull in and get a 99 cent Frosty, but that's about it.

So I ordered a sandwich and a drink. Got to the window. They told me the total. Gave me my food. I look in the bag. There are fries I didn't order. I pull up to the waiting area and get out and go in. I realize I left the receipt in the car. I step back and get it, and go inside again. There is a line. I hang by the side of the counter at the front of the line. While I'm standing there I look at the receipt to make sure they had actually charged me for the combo and I realize the receipt refers to some other sandwich entirely.

I get noticed. The woman beckons me over. "You got the wrong order, right?" I said I had; she hands me a different bag. I asked her what I was charged for. She goes to check the receipt. I look in the new bag. It has a hamburger in it.

At this point I have to be at work in 8 minutes. I tell her to forget fixing it, just refund my money. She does so. I think it was the right amount; I was never sure what I had been charged because I had just thrown the change and receipt into my console compartment in the car. I never knew if the receipt I had was the amount I had been charged or not.

I kept the tea. No point bringing it back; they would have had to pour it out anyway.

I still have not had my Smoked Gouda Chicken sandwich. sad smiley

And thank God I wasn't on a mystery shop. I wouldn't have wanted to try to write up that report!

Time to build a bigger bridge.
The Wendy's around here are so slow that I always hesitate before accepting shops at any of them, even for a fee and reimbursement.
